Death Battle Season Eight Discussion Thread (1) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I more so was reffering to the difference in power and scale, like some tier 7's for the non god characters versus bare minimum universal characters isn't exactly equal

I mean "connections" do play a part in MUs regardless if the character A is tier 7 Vs Character B whose tier 2 which is (partly) why most DBs are technically stomps.

Alright, upon actually watching both Pikachu vs Blanka and Ivy vs Orchid (Episodes I didn't rewatch for my tier list due to bad memories and horny Boomstick being at his worse respectively), they're above F tier.
Aside from the death, which is both way too gruesome and extremely underwhelming at the same time, Pikachu vs Blanka is actually pretty good by Season 1 standards. It was moved to C tier.
Ivy vs Orchid's fight didn't come anywhere near to making up for Horny Boomstick, even if it was decent, so it was only moved up to D tier.
On a side note, me and my friend have finally finished the tier list and are now ordering episodes within the tiers. I'll post it soon.

And yet it was very much present in Wonder Woman vs Rogue, Chun-Li vs Mai and was at it's extreme worst at Ivy vs Orchid. Fortunately, it all but stopped being a thing after that, and was even self-parodied in Yang vs Tifa (One of the best parts of that episode imo). Ivy vs Orchid was honestly the only time it prevented me from enjoying an episode (That and the literal breast size calcs)

Yeah, I agree, it is fairly obvious that Flash ran into the future to sucker punch Sonic when he didn't have his super form. But it was not obvious at all that Sonic was reliving his entire life in one instant. Especially when they snuck in random Easter eggs like Sanic in that sequence. Sanic especially made people go wtf is happening.
