Death Battle Season Eight Discussion Thread (1) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Ant Man vs Atom and Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna are the two most likely MvDC matchups this season....besides Doom v Lex (gawd I hope it's Gil even though a Doom loss sux). Most likely the latter.

Jean Grey vs Raven is also a marginal possibility.

And that really is what i'm worried about, all things considered. It really just depends on the consensus that all of them come to, and all of them have different specializations and beliefs. I think most of them have good opinions, better than us here on average, there's just a couple of verses I'd rather not watch unfold.
 
I am busy working and resting so no much time to talk here.

First, I know some weak connections exist between Joker and Giorno but in the radar of Death Battle:

  • Is Giorno just small building and Joker some small city by scaling to past Death Battle combatants? Given they do not like VSBW profiles.
  • Off topic: imo Hellsing Alucard has a city block level tk which could destroy Dio but Dio can still destroy Alucard physically and/or with hax plus the speed advantage.

Second, anyone can be a researcher for one matchup but does people actually know who is in the team who is doing an exact research for a potential matchup?

And... Who would even pit Batman against Ryuko in the first place?

  2. Literally the only connection Black and Reverse have besides "Evil copy lol" is time travel, and even then it's extremely loose since Black did that with a wish and it's a natural ability of Reverse Flash.

How horrible can this be? Are they too niche even if characters can appear in SSBU? I mean we have faced crazier opponents before.

We know Shulk vs Lightning Farron is overdue. KOS-MOS fighting anyone who is far stronger than Mega Man X is overdue. KOS-MOS fighting Mega Man X is quite requested despite the loose connections but Mega Man X himself has Samus Aran and Iron Man waiting.

No, I'm not saying Ryuko being naked, I'm saying Ryuko wearing pajama. I'm referring Episode 4 for her feat without waering Kamui Senketsu (but wearing pajama). It is interesting because Batman always wears his tough armor but the armor is at best as strong as Ryuko wearing pajama or nothing.

I thought you meant Kiritsugu when you said Gun Boi so I was just wondering why Kiritsugu vs Naofuni was a matchup, then I realized Haijme uses guns and you were referring to him.

Agent Wyoming is my favorite matchup for Kiritsugu anyways, even if it's not happening just because RoosterTeeth does not give a flying **** about Agent Wyoming.
