I also just wanted to point out that Shinra-Koketsu Ragyo regenerated from being sliced through the chest and being given a big hole directly in her chest. So it is very clear that no one besides a depowered Ragyo can actually be killed by damaging the heart. Ryuko, Nui and Ragyo have all demonstrated feats of regenerating from their hearts directly being damaged severely.
Shadow definitely has the AP, speed and hax to take Ryuko down but "lol just destroy the heart" is not an argument.
