Because Death Battle has confirmed this to be the next episode.

Speed is equalized, both are 7-A (A New Hope Obi-Wan and 4th Shinobi World War Kakashi), and both are willing to kill. The battle is in a dark forest, and both start 10 meters apart.

Who wins?

I only found the mentor of the protagonist/raising students "who would become evil later" part of the matchup...

Death Battle must really care about this request, huh?

I am familiar with Obi-Wan, but not Kakashi.

In AP, Obi-Wan scales to 170 Megatons.

In Skill, Obi-Wan is considered one of the greatest heroes of the Clone Wars. I don't know Kakashi, so I'll just list Kenobi's feats.

He, like all other Jedi, was raised and trained from an incredibly young age (Anakin at around 6-7 years old was considered to old to begin Jedi training). His training in his youth would've consisted of things such as blocking blaster shots with a lightsaber while blindfolded.

As a mere Padawan (one of the earliest stages of Jedi training) he helped his master engage with Darth Maul, a proud warrior trained in combat by both the Zabrak people and Darth Sidious. When Maul defeated his master, Obi Wan fought Maul evenly, cut his weapon in half, and even forced him to resort to his telekinesis to beat.

Oni Wan served as a front line general during the Clone Wars, regularly engaging Sith Assassin Asajj Ventress and legendary Jedi killer General Grevious, the later of whom is noted for mastering all forms of lightsaber combat and facing opponents like Jedi Counsel Master Kit Fisto.

Fought off and defeated both Darth Maul and Savage Opress, forcing them to retreat. Admittedly, this only after losing to him several times prior.

Has added his apprentice Anakin Skywalker in battling Count Dooku on two separate occasions. Notably, Dooku was responsible for training both Grevious and Ventress and was recognized as the third best swordsman in the Jedi Order. Also notably, Dooku was forced to use telekinesis to incapacitate Kenobi during their second duel so he could focus on Anakin.

Two instances of his tactical ability include slowing General Grievous's onslaught by parrying his wrists rather than his blades in their final duel and successfully leading a fallen Anakin to an area where he would have the tactical higher ground, battling his former apprentice for several minutes even as their battleground collapsed into lava.

Several years after the Clone Wars and after having not practiced for ages, he rematched Darth Maul one final time and defeated him in only three moves. Notably, he lured Maul into using the same tactic Maul used to defeat Qui Gon Jinn, taking the same fighting stance as the late Jedi Master, and then exploited the opening he knew Maul would give him.

Now, I'm going to state that telekinesis is a big point in Kenobi's davor here. Not because he can rag doll, lifting strength says no to that, but because it'll allow him to effectively no sell any projectiles that come his way and even send them back.

Okay, I checked the AP. Kenobi is 5x weaker, so that's a problem. Granted, he has shown to know how to handle stronger opponents before.

Why couldn't he rag doll him too? Kakashi doesn't have flight, so lifting him up gives Kakashi no way to actually prevent that from happening. Obi couldn't Hold down Kakashi to the ground, but lifting him off it and tossing him shouldn't have any problem since Kakashi has nothing to hold himself down with.

Higher lifting strength alone is treated as a counter to TK.

Not if they lift up. At least my experience and what I've been told by many people is that it may counter if they try and push them towards the ground. But since they have nothing to hold onto or fight back with, nothing stops them from being lifting up. It's not their weight that's doing it, it's their muscles. So if they can't apply force on something like the ground to hold themselves down, they can't counter it. Which is why flight is also typically needed.

Not really. You still need to be able to generate thrust in a direction opposite to the telekinesis or have some form of leverage. Otherwise there's no way for you to push against an intangible force with pure muscle power alone.

In fact, currently Kakashi is = Guy, who one shotted a 600-700 Megatons character, so any hit would be a wincon for Kakashi

I said currently because we are revising the verse and I doubt the 7-A will be legit

Yeesh that's a big AP gap right there. Could a lightsaber block Lightning Blade? I know Kenobi absorbed lighting from Dooku one time with it so it might be possible here.

Welp. No Resistance to Mind Manipulation. Genjutsu isn't Kakashi's first move but he will use it if the fight gets too difficult for him. Or BFR'ing Obi Wan arm, leg or whatever to Kamui

It takes being submerged in water to destroy a lightsaber, as the water causes the blade to short out due to rapid chain reactions and the overpowering nature of the water on the blade. Because of this, Jedi of amphibious alien races have to use specially designed and modified lightsabers if they want to be able to use their weapons anywhere but on land.

Also Kakashi having Class G Lifting Strength means that TK doesn't work.
Again, LS is irrelevant if you can't actually put it to use against TK. Unless Kakashi has flight or a way to anchor himself to the ground, he's getting rag-dolled.

That's not how it works. It's always been having higher lifting strength means you aren't affected by some with lower lifting strength.

I would be honest, Mountain Level for both of these characters doesn't make sense at all, especially for Physicall Strength. I maybe can accept Mountain Level AP for their strengest Technique.

If we disregard these bs ratings I think Kakashi destroys canon Obi-Wan, but if I am not mistaken the first Clone Wars cartoon is canon and it has crazy feats.

It is though, go to any match made recently where this scenario occurs like here. I can have higher lifting strength but not be able to push against something intangible or a force that directly holds on to my muscles. It's still a matter of leverage and thrust as well as being able to apply it. Here Kakashi has no way to apply his strength against telekinesis nor a way to anchor himself.

Why would it not work? Could you actually explain why having higher lifting strength but no flight or self-momentum negates telekinesis automatically? And there's only a 4.5x difference between them. It's taking a while but Obi-Wan can definitely hurt him.

Speed is equalized.

AP means nothing if your opponent has you suspended in mid-air and starts rag-dolling you with TK.

Okay I am bringing in some elephants again.

1. How does Kakashi resist telekinesis? Like teleportation and dimension travelling? How do they work and work against TK in particular?

2. Can Kakashi learn telekinesis when Obi-Wan is using it? With his MS? And can Obi-Wan amp his stats to Kakashi level in return?

Insert Star Wars winning by TK

Anyway, even though speed is equalized, i don't see anything going ni Obi-Wan having a counter to Kakashi's sharingan, let alone Mangekyou.

ehh. Same speed, but are they fighting in the Death Battle? So if it's a real fight, Kakashiki will win, but I'm not sure in here. Except for the High 7-C format

Kakashi can't resist TK, unless there is a space for him to use Sharingan.

This Kakashi can't teleport as much as he wants. Probably once or twice will drain him. If he learns that Obi has TK Kakashi will concentrate chakra on his feat allowing him to resist it (See Pain's fight). Kakashi uses clones in fights so first he will send a clone to analyze Obi's strength and then might attack him from underground, Kakashi can create Lightning Element Clones that can explode and electrify the target thus paralyzing it, I can see that happening here.

2. Can Kakashi learn telekinesis when Obi-Wan is using it? With his MS? And can Obi-Wan amp his stats to Kakashi level in return?

TK can be considered Kekkei Genkai so Kakashi can't copy it.

Anyway, this is 4th War Kakashi, he can Kamui snipe Obi's head before he reacts. Kamui speed is almost on par with God Tiers.
