Isaac (Golden Sun) would be a perfect candidate for Smash. But there are also so many characters who'd be great. Shovel Knight would also be fantastic, as are Ridley, Crash Bandicoot (Character), Lloyd Irving, Fawful, Magnus (Kid Icarus), Rex (Xenoblade), Simon Belmont, and much more.

Michael's Final Smash would be so OP. He would make everyone dance to Smooth Criminal, then have them jump off the stage or something.

Darkrai, the hat from Odyssey and maybe a few other Odyssey characters. All the 4 legendary heroes from Breath Of the wild. Tinkle, Majora, Hector and Rosalina, maybe even some paper Mario characters.

Also, great eagle bow, fairy sword and one hit obliterator for Link.

I think I would like to have a Ganondorf that's not just a fat captain Falcon, Vaati (for copyright problems, the guy didn't even come to Hyrule Warriors), a Kirby villain, either Marx or Magolor. And if Phoenix Wright made it to Marvel vs Capcom, I don't see how they couldn't take him to Smash.
