What are our parameters for accepting external sources on calculations?

It seems this site prefers blog posts as the main source for linking towards calcs, like this calculation on Thor's feat of tanking a neutron star's light which has a youtube equivalent giving an orders of magnitude lower end.

And seeing that of course made me think. What are the requirements for accepting calculations not from this site?

Just copy them in a blog after getting the consent from the original calcer while crediting them in the blog and you should be good.

It just depends on which one our calc team/general populace decides is more correct.

We accept external calculations that have either been evaluated and accepted by our calc group or the OBD/Narutoforums.

If what he says is true (average neutron star luminosity = 1/4 of the Sun's), my order of magnitude estimate for the average energy output of a neutron star was incredibly close to what someone with better tools calc'ed...
