Unpopular Opinions and (Friendly) Rant thread

if a verse's peak comes from a creation feat we should put a big pinwheel cap and lollipop on its wiki page so everyone knows it's just a little guy pretending
I meaaaaan, depends on how the creation feat works. If its someone sneezing and it creating a universe and nothing more then ig you'd be right but if this mf shows up, shapes the concepts, think up reality down to its core with his mind and creates the big bang then i think it's valid.

This entire response hinges on my understanding of your reply, but if your reply meant "little guy pretending cause it has like 1 tier 2 character and the rest are tier 7" then yes, I'd be inclined to agree.

I was thinking of the verses where everyone scales up to solar system/universal/etc because one of the villains has a starry sky in their arena background (and also Cookie Run).

I know a guy who genuinely thinks madara is high outer
maybe if you read the manga you'd understand why

Ok so I have been told Ochaku X Deku is canon now, they're definitely gonna date and are interested in each other and to push the knife deeper, the ghost of Toga or a memory or whatever tells Ochako to live her life and date Deku.

I remember seeing someone come up with a convoluted and pretentious reason to explain why Deku not ending up with Ochako is a good thing because "Le Women shouldn't be a prize!" ignoring how stupid it would be to completely disregard a romance and that has been developed for years because morality or whatever. Safe to say, I am pretty glad Horikoshi made them get together at the end. It would have been extremely stupid to develop a ship for years just to not make it canon.

I also saw plenty of fujoshis cry when they saw Deku didn't end up with Bakugo or whatever homosexual ships they were shipping. Honestly, I don't feel bad for them, I smirk a little seeing them cry. It's their fault for getting obsessed with a ship to the point of literally gushing out tears because it isn't canon.

Also, apparently Mirio is now is the #1 hero? Take that Dekucucks, I'll never let y'all live this down. Mirio OWNS y'all.

Oh, and Deku clarifies that he would have been a teacher either way, powerless or not... So much for the wageslave memes...

Ah, and he gets a cool armored suit and still fights as a hero.

Honestly, that completely changes the ending for me. Now I think the ending is good, he still talks to his friends, he still fights, he gets a girlfriend, what's not to love? It might be mediocre or something, I haven't read the rest of MHA so I can't tell, but at least it isn't bad and doesn't turn Deku into a wage slave.

You know, at work I was thinking of dropping a wall of text, a big rant explaining why Bowser would objectively be a good husband in an objective non-homosexual way. I mean, I could do it right now, but maybe I was just thinking that to distract myself from getting bored.

He would be an amazing husband.
Bowser actively cares for his people, we know this by now. He's extremely caring with Bowser Jr. specifically and seems to be relatively nice to Peach too.
His methods of trying to marry her might be immoral, but his intentions outside of that are pretty good imo.
He's actually a pretty good guy for a villain. He's just a little rough around the edges.

If you think about it, Bowser kidnapping women just means he is a yandere. Just imagine him as an anime girl that's crazy over you instead of a lizard monster man. Bowser is a yandere.

I wouldn't want a hot anime girl to lock me in a cage and dangle me over lava either.

While he is good to his people he does have really bad sides to him. First of all he clearly doesn't value the life of anyone who isn't his subject, turning toads to bricks and capturing them without hesitation. The fact that kidnapping a woman, trying to force her to marry him and actively trying to kill the man trying to save her just shows that he is very much a villain, not "rough around the edges". Comitting war crimes is a freaking pastime for him for goodness sake.
Sure, he is nice to peach, but we never see what would happen if she were to actually live with him. He has a short temper, he even screams at his son at times for minor things. As a husband he'd be emotionally abusive with his temper tantrums and only his whims actually mattering. Peach would basically have no say in anything and would just be there to be his and to be pretty.

Typa shit a random Toad would write so people would elect Peach instead of Bowser

The random toad would be smart then cause personally, I don't want to live in a mushroom kingdom modified to look like Mordor
A random Toad would vote for Peach.

Tired of people always villainizing Mario & acting like Bowser is a good guy, or that Peach is just secretly playing some coy game when she gets kidnapped.
If you're serious, you're stupid.
If it's a joke, it's not funny.
tell em bro

If you want a bowser-esque villain who is not that bad or turned good look at Dedede. He was a villain for like 3-4 games where he mostly commited mass theft and from then on out he slowly grew to become a caring king who does everything to save the world and help his friends and subjects, even willing to sacrifice his life. Bowser is not a good guy. A villain can love someone and can care for his subjects but they're still a villain, they still commit atrocities.

I... I was making a joke.
Sorry if you felt ganged up on.

For me, the "Mario is bad, Bowser is innocent, the Toads are brainwashed" kind of stuff just really irks me.

It's okay to wanna make humour & share, & different people have different tastes.

I know that you're not a bad person, so I don't want you to feel hated.

My stance on Bowser is that he's objectively a villain who has done genuinely bad things (stealing princesses, turning Toads into bricks, nearly conquering the universe on two separate occasions, and all that jazz), but Bowser's endearing and charismatic personality is why he's such a beloved villain in the video game scene.

I think what makes me a big Bowser fan is that despite being a villain, he has pretty consistent moments of genuine empathy and has shown disgust towards villains with especially abhorrent goals. Some of my favorite Bowser moments in recent games are when he expresses horror at Prince Olly's goal of wiping out all Toads in the Mushroom Kingdom in Origami King, and when he offered protection to the Concordians on the islands he controlled (or so I've heard, I'm still playing Brothership so I'm basing this off what others have told me).

Let me make this clear, though: none of this is me trying to say that Bowser is some misunderstood good guy or whatever, I know he's a villain, it's more to express why he's such an interesting character to analyze.

You did nothing wrong I'm just in a particularly bad mood right now
But no, I'm aware that Bowser does a ton of bad things, I just thought that he would be good as a husband. But now I think otherwise, especially given that episode of the Mario Bros 3. cartoon where he forces her to marry him and straight up tries to crush Mario and Luigi so they don't interfere
