The Darksiders Discussion Thread

I'm not sure how powerful they are (if memory serves they don't have any feats worth noting and mostly rely on the Horsemen)

Charred Council statement of War bringing worldwide fire, and as well a statement from Fury being confident in single handedly slaying en entire planet or two of demons. Perhaps this is enough justification for a High 6-A rating?

The first one sounds like flowery language, and the second doesn't really specify a method or timeframe. I am however sure there should be a High 6-A statement somewhere; Monarch mentioned something.

We don't know the timeframe, but its assumed to be quick according to another statement. Anyway i think they should have released the game a little later.

Is there a grace period for calculations from new entries in things? I'd really like to see how Fury compares and if it raises or lowers War and Death's ratings

Shattering the Earth sounds like a more legitimate statement; but considering the short timeframe, they should be in the Tier 6 range for sure.

The best feats for the verse are found in the Abomination Vault.

A fully awakened Mortis can do this : redirect a attack from an enemy as well as send forth a very powerful burst of profane energies towards a random friend, family member or loved one from the attacker's memory. The effect could easily strike at anyone in the same realm as the wielder. It is the only Grand Abomination that is known to still exist with any certainty, and is currently in Death's possession.

Black Mercy can do this : A tri-barrelled gun that fires teeth and when fully awakened can kill anything, even by the smallest wound. Even unrelated, bleeding wounds from the wielder's enemies caused in Black Mercy's presence have the same effect. It was presumably cast into Oblivion by Death some time after the Abomination Vault Crisis.

Earth Reaver can do this : A rifle connected to a slow moving platform that when fully awoken redirects the magma of an area creating a massive volcanic eruption at the target. It was cannibalized to provide fuel for Black Mercy.

Death has the power to seal and depower those weapons and IIRC War survived Black Mercy albeit barely.

Also, can't believe people haven't noticed that the Rod of Arafel fires literal light at shit and Death can dodge that shit .

Also, you should look into the actual horses of the Horsemen since they posses intangibility . Pretty good haxx from them.

Also not sure if and how you can quantify this shit but full power 4 >> the Race of the Nephilim who's >>>> random civilizations and planets in the Universe .

How large are those volcanic eruptions I wonder? I feel like we could assume 7-B but that could be quite dodgy. Alternatively we could calc the lava being forced from a Magna chamber (we'd need to know the magma's height compared to a Horseman)

Large enough that it forced both War and Death to retreat and it also killed a a lot of demons constructs and angels.

Been a while since i read AV and i don't remember if it got any more specific than that. However i know for a fact that Toutosai from Inuyasha had a feat where he caused a magma eruption and that yeilded megatons or Father from FMA managing to surpress Amestris's tectonic movements which yeilded gigatons on NF. So either way, it should bump up the 4 at the very least by a good margin.

Also from what i remmeber the novel hyped some of them to be able to literally destroy worlds.

For context's sake weapons like that were built by the Nephilim and were used to **** up countless worlds back in the days where the Nephilim were a thing in the verse and the 4 killed all of them despite having such weaponry so.... yeah their current placing in the tier is pitifull , and that's putting it nicely.

Also the Nephilim warped a planet's surface into a chaotic and ungodly mass (not sure if over time though)

I also recall a similar feat yielding Low 7-B (so perhaps we could go with at least low 7-C likely High 6-A)

Actually, War died, and Death had to revive him by utilizing the souls trapped in Chaoseater

Yeah, like i said, it's been a while since i've read AV but i coulda sworn that War survived a Grand Abomination being used against him.

Also I'd note that each Horseman should have Soul Hax/Non Physical Interaction since War and Fury can absorb souls as currency with Death being able to summon and comune with spirits.

Agreed on Non Physical interaction and soul hax seems legit as well.

Also, War shouldn't have Low-Mid. He died at the the end of the first game when Uriel stabbed him with the Blade of Armageddon. He's also had his arm cut off by Death, which never grew back.

Yeah, War doesn't reallyh ave any regen. He sure as **** can face tank what people throw at him but the only Horseman who has regen should be Death since he got skewered by Chaoseater and didn't really seem to mind. Maybe Fury too if we take into account that Wrath stabbed the shit out of her and by the time she got teleported by the Lord of Hallows to his dimension, the wound was gone.

If we go by claims, hell, people claimed in DS 2 that Corruption could eventually endager all of creation eventually. Read into that what you will.

The difference is that there's a multitude of Tier 6 statements whereas Corruption was over an unknown period of time (It was active on Earth during the 17th century)

Eh...whatever. I'm new here and came from NF where Feats >>>>>>> everything else and where people don't accept statements made by characters unless there's some kind of other stuff backing it up like a feat or an official description or something .I know VSB does shit differently and i don't really want to get into that cuz it's a pain in the balls and it falls into comunity consensus.

So if you guys think multiple statements are enough to garner an upgrade , go for it . Like i said, the current tier placement for the Four is laughable anyway.

Oh I agree with you on the statements thing it's just in this case their consistent enough to use (I also suggested a likely rating)

This calc might actually lead to some pretty solid upgrades. Would also quickly make your thread outdated @Bambu; sorry about that.
