Tekken and Street Fighter Verse-Merging? What if this happens?

So a VERY important Street Fighter character makes his way to Tekken, but it's not a simple cameo. It appears that he plays a massive part in the story.

There's even more. The creators of both franchises Harada and Ono are extremely close friends. So what happens if they decide to merge their canons for each franchise into one so they connect with one another and become part of the same universe? This characters absence in Street Fighter 5 and appearance in Tekken 7 make it seem all the more likely.
