Tectonic Shells (Koopa Troopa´s Durability Upgrade)

Since my other CRT still wasn´t evaluated. This should be simple enough to do right now

We current rate a Koopa´s durability as Building level from scaling to their AP, however, we don´t have a value for their shells, even though they are consistently showed to be able to casually survive Mario´s jumps, which are Island level attacks, with stronger attacks, such as Spin-Jumps, being needed to effectively defeat them (Methods such as fireballs just destroy the koopa´s body, with their shell remaining intact)

Conclusion: Koopa Troopa should receive a "6-C with his shell" durability rating

I can buy durability, can't think of too many showings opposite to this. Could maybe do "At most Island level" given the spin jump, but I dunno. AP, not so sure, I think it depends on who's throwing it more than the shell itself. Like if Mario chucks the shell it's gonna have 6-C power but that's not an inherent ability of it, just the AP of the user.

As Lephyr said, it was more to show the durability of the shell than try to apply to AP (There is no real reason to scale Koopa´s AP to this tbh, since they never really threw their shells on a form to cause damage)

Attacks such as the Spin-Jump are portrayed as stronger than normal jumps, it also offer protection against enemies and obstacles that would otherwise be harmful to land on, so i think it´s fine to leave the shell´s durability just as 6-C since it still can casually survive 6-C attacks

I will count you as agree per now

To an extent, I can sort of buy Koopa Shells being stone walls where it could scale in durability. But there have been some cases of Mario using ground pound to outright shatter them; albeit situational. Of course AP wise, it's more or less dependent on Mario tossing/kicking the shell doing most of the destructive work and thus wouldn't be much AP feat for the Koopas. But just the shell having durability scaling material I can sort of buy.

Tbf, the Ground Pound was always showed as a technique where Mario exerts more strenght than he normally does with his casual jumps

Vote counted btw

Additionally, didn't the ground pound make the shell go off screen rather than shatter?
In the Yoshi's Island series, Yoshi has been known to shatter Koopa shells outright. Including a Kamek magic amplified Koopa Troopa.

Yeah that is fair

I wouldn't know about "casually", Mario putting in full effort smashes them, and as DDM said there's a few other instances.

Fair enough, although he seemingly puts the same effort in his jumps that he puts against people comparable to him (Such as the fights in games like the OG M&L)

Yeah, but it's not 100% consistent either way is what i'm trying to say

One step closer to 6-C fodder
