We have had this thread four times already, and I'd really rather not do it again.

Superman's scaling here is due to his ability to harm The World Forger after getting a massive, never before seen amp. The fact that he didn't harm him "seriously" is aside the point. He still harmed him. The entire storyline repeatedly focuses on The Forger's ability to create multiverses. It is the single most established fact about him in that story, and Superman knocks him out right as he's in the process of doing it with a very defining, climactic moment that we can't ignore. The amp was confirmed both in-universe by the narrator and out of universe by the writer, so it can't be written off as an outlier either. Everybody from myself to Matt to POTM has had a word with this.
