Bro when/if Boros makes an actual return and a fight happens I am afraid for what will happen in this community.

Also ngl at the pace Murata and ONE are going respectively, I think the manga will get ahead of the webcomic sometime in the middle of next year. We should be getting about 20 chapters for the rest of this year, maybe more or less. The webcomic is 31 chapters ahead. Of course who's to say what content will be added or cut out but the manga tends to add content whereas the webcomic is rather straight-forward, so I think we'll be looking at sometime during Summer next year, maybe a wee bit later.

Eh. Tatsumaki was “”””kind of”””” able to surprise Saitama in speed and sent him flying despite him bracing against her. She’s no slouch. That automatically puts her above practically everyone besides Cosmic Garou, Blast and God.

Tbh I used to do scaling like this all the time but I've given up on using Saitama for scaling, partly cause Saitama, and partly cause Murata and ONE don't know how to scale their own characters accurately half the time lol. I love them both they're goated and currently among the absolute best in the industry working as a duo, but when it comes to consistency with scaling, it's clear at this point that they just couldn't care less. I would not be surprised if Sonic almost kills Empty Void by targeting a vital point while he's distracted or something.

Lol nobody gets credit for surprising saitama with their speed but boros and cosmic garou stop the wank I highly doubt she’s even flashy flash speed

Can you provide an example for “Murata and ONE don’t know how to scale their own characters”?

Here is Tatsumaki reacting to Saitama’s speed, while Saitama is visibly and audibly worried and has no reason to hold back or else an innocent child will die, then outpacing him by reaching the car before him.

What are you even talking about not only does that prove nothing saitama is only going faster then the rocks thrown but also saitama holds back always even when lives are in danger countless times he’s only ever stopped holding back with cosmic garou the dude can barely even make it on time for a grocery store sale and you think he travels mftl++++++ where ever he goes she was literally blitzed by saitama in that same fight and nowhere does it imply he was surprised by her sheer speed literally amai mask and sonic reacted to her just fine

This is what saitama looks like when he’s truly surprised by someones speed something something that happens for both boros and cosmic garou not Tatsumaki because she’s never intended to be that fast

Besides the recent Sonic cutting Void thing;

Saitama when he was a "normal human" tanking a hit from a "Tiger" level Monster (Crablante), with said Tiger level Monster looking like a Wolf level and not performing anything better than Wolf level feats. This is the first one that comes to mind but there are a lot of things like this in the series.

Most notably though I'd say is when originally making the Bang and Bomb Vs. Elder Centipede scene, Murata had it so Bang and Bomb didn't do any damage yet Metal Bat did, which would imply that Metal Bat is/was stronger than both of them combined. A fan literally pointed this out to him which led to him fixing it. The fact that a fan had to help him correct a major scaling inconsistency says a lot.

I mean I could comb through the manga and probably give you like over 20 examples easily. Obviously Murata and ONE are not perfect at scaling consistency, most authors aren't. But it's gotten to the point where sometimes I can only take things in OPM with a grain of salt.

1. Did Void take a hit from Sonic before and take no damage or something? How is that inconsistent??

2. I don’t understand how Crablante is inconsistent. Threat levels aren’t explicit “this threat level MUST have THESE stats” as a baseline, they’re simply vague GUESSES at the threat of a monster. Crablante was also playing with Saitama and Saitama got extremely lucky in killing him.

3. I wouldn’t really call that inconsistent. Metal Bat didn’t really do any real damage, but in any case, he COULD be physically stronger and harder hitting than Bang and Bomb and that would’ve been fine, since y’know, he specialises in brute force while they specialise in skill and redirection. Murata seemed to change it not because he was outright wrong, but because “yeah, it’s probably better to have higher ranking heroes have a more impressive showing” was more fun.

Literally outspeeding Saitama, in a panic, sprinting to save someone from a mistake he caused >>> slight eyebrow raise with no panic on his face at all.

You don't need direct feats to suggest that a character is of a certain level. If Whis got hurt by Krillin would that make sense just because Whis doesn't actually have any durability feats? Obviously not. Empty Void has been hyped up as a god-tier character just for some fodder mid-tier like Sonic to hurt him when his best showings prior to this arc were competing with Genos and Deep Sea King. Feats or otherwise, it waters down how strong Empty Void should be and our perception of that strength.

Nah, not even. A Tiger level Monster should be more than capable of one-shotting a regular human, period. Tiger level's are beyond the scope of B-Class Heroes who are peak "average" humans, and require A-Class Heroes to take down. Yes, threat levels are indicative of stats unless the Monster possesses some unique trait that would explain it. Crablante is only powerful due to physical stats and in fact had a weak point that allowed a regular human to kill him, yet he was still Tiger level. And no he wasn't playing around with Saitama, he blew him away with intent to kill after getting mad that he saved the ball-chinned kid, and Saitama was only moderately injured.

And this is just a handful of examples anyways. Idk what the point in arguing this even is other than for the sake of arguing. There's no reason to think that ONE and Murata are perfect in terms of scaling consistency, and I think that a major problem in the powerscaling community is that people take every individual feat and statement too seriously. Which is why some people argue that Namek Saga Second Form Frieza is High 3-A.

Lol what saitama only moved faster then the rock like we literally see him reaching for the car by the time the rock hits where the car was do we believe Tatsumaki tossed a mftl++++++ rock or is Saitama holding back like he does in every scenario even when people are in danger could be hurt or killed like please use common sense

Also the eyebrow isn’t to show panic it’s to show saitama is genuinely surprised at the speed of both cosmic garou and boros there’s a reason both are almost exactly the same which also beats everything for your fanfic tatsumaki who someone as slow as amai mask is reacting to

Sukuna in his prime is part of the cadres at the beginning of the MA raid. Can he change the tide or do anything?

For sake of argument, he and Tatsumaki are not allowed to meet. And Saitama.

JJK scaling is a bit wonky. Depends on how we interpret the feats and scaling. Highend scaling though Sukuna is beating most of the S-Class. He'd only start seeing trouble around Darkshine and Bang but I think he could beat them with some of his trump card moves (Domain Expansion, world bisecting slash, and Fugo). I think Flashy Flash could take him though, depending on how he plays it.

Imo the way it'd go is against the low-tier and mid-tier S-Class members he's just gonna pummel them or beat them with basic Cleaves and Dismantles, gonna be a "Gambare gambare!" situation, once he hits the high-tiers he'll start to struggle and get beaten in close combat, his techniques won't be as effective, but he'll bring out a trump card and beat them. Loses at Flashy Flash or Genos. He'd have an effect on the war for sure but I think that the result would be the same, only difference is maybe some real casualties depending on who encounters him.

Though this is only highend Sukuna.

Ughh no it’s not and is not how it works at all lol the fact god was in her head shows she has 0 resistance at all anyway
Well there's in-universe vs out of universe stuff. We don't give her mind resistance because she hasn't demonstrated it, but in-universe she likely isn't going to be effected by it if a weaker psyker uses it on her.

We just don't give ratings for What If statistics.

In particular encounters;

Puri-Puri Prisoner-Sukuna should win low-diff. He should well outclass PPP in speed and maybe be weaker or on par in raw strength but still be more than capable of harming him even with just punches. Shouldn't even need a Cursed Technique imo.

TTM-Same as above though maybe struggles a bit more (I still believe TTM>PPP).

Pig God-I just don't know wtf Pig God even gonna TRY to do besides eating him lmao.

Zombieman-He'll just be kind of annoying but a few good Cleaves or a solid Dismantle outta work.

Child Emperor-Maybe with prep time he could do something but I just don't see it. Sukuna's gonna toy with him.

Drive Knight-This is where things get a bit more interesting. Without prior knowledge I think Drive Knight would get quickly overwhelmed by Sukuna and his versatility, but he'd adapt as best as possible and probably entertain Sukuna a little while before he brings out one of his stronger moves and ends it. I think Drive Knight would hold his own in close quarters and transform to adapt to the situation but I don't think he has anything that Sukuna couldn't handle.

Atomic Sandbag-Probably takes it in close-quarters and could maybe kill him with an Atomic Slash, but that's only if he gets the chance to. Unless Sukuna deliberately gets in close proximity it wouldn't happen and he'll just get decapitated or something after cutting Sukuna up pretty good.

Darkshine-Sukuna getting dominated in close quarters and I'm not sure if his Cleaves would be too effective as they don't ignore durability and Darkshine should be tough enough to tank them. A Dismantle would cut right through him anyways tho. It's arguable that Darkshine could paste Sukuna just going off of actual feats and scaling but I think that kind of takes the fun out of comparison. Really depends on how Sukuna plays it. He has ways to just get around Darkshine's durability, but Darkshine is crushing him if he gets too close.

Bang-Pretty similar to above honestly.

Flashy Flash-More than capable of blitzing Sukuna and killing him quickly which is fairly in-character for him to do, especially if he perceives an opponent as a genuine threat. Sukuna could only kill him with a Domain Expansion if he can get it off in time.

Genos-More than capable of just using incinerate and one-shotting Sukuna before he can use a trump card, which isn't very out-of-character. Genos is overconfident and lets his guard down sometimes but he gets things done.

Metal Bat-Really depends on if Sukuna gives him enough time to pump up, which I doubt honestly. Sukuna will be entertained and probably get a little beat up in the process of underestimating him but when he realizes that Metal Bat won't stop growing he'll end it.

Obviously the rest of the S-Class in the arc neg him.

Overall this is generally sound logic but I think there are some specific situations where a reasonable case can be made otherwise and dismissing it just because there's no visual evidence is not always rational.

I know I bring it up every time, but I can't really let slide the fact that it took YEARS for Jiren to get existence erasure resistance. I would've been fine with them removing the resistances and just calling it a weakness of Hakai instead, the problem was the idea in itself that Jiren would get killed by a Hakai, even from TOPPO, which was concluded in an actual versus match on these forums, because he never actually resisted one on-screen, is unfathomably ludicrous. Or the fact that almost no Dragon Ball characters (to my knowledge) have heat resistance because they never showed it. In fact they refused to give heat resistance to Vegeta in any form but gave it to Blue Goku and Broly for swimming in magma, but because Vegeta didn't join them for a magma bath that means if he did he would instantly die from the heat 💀 I could go on. We do not always need visual evidence to make a rational, logical conclusion to something.

Though Tats shouldn't have mind manipulation resistance, that's something that can't really be concluded definitively as of now. Just saying that this method of argumentation doesn't always work.

Guy I know got his hands on the volume 30 redraws: only Spring Mustachio and young Bang vs Bomb got any noticeable redraws. Like this

Golden S, Bang vs Garou, Sunblade Atomic and Darkshine's defeat all seem to have stayed the same from what he's saying. Trying to get my hands on any other changed panels and that bonus chapter we're supposed to have.

I thought there was interesting discussion going on from the last time I saw but it was Tatsumaki and Boros all over again. Still glad the thread is lively tho

At this point we've got enough Boros vs Tatsumaki content to make a proper novel. We should take all the arguments made here, pour them into an illustrated vs match and make a fan comic out of it. Something concrete should come of the hundreds of hours of debate

Alright I'm omw home right now but like Recon predicted, it's just cubari chapter 195 that got redrawn and not cubari 195-196 like I was expecting. Does this mean we get 8 redraws total?? If they aren't fusing chapters and aren't releasing multiple per week then... yeah.
