Aside from some of the ridiculousness, as well as the absurd cop-out of time manipulation to fix this, when it hasn't been implied, suggested, or makes any sense at all, especially not with the way it's explained, I think it was a great chapter.

The actual fighting was great as always, finally getting a clear-cut explanation of Saitama's power is very nice, the whole scene with Tareo and Garou realizing what he's done is solid, and the end is wholesome.

But ONE really tried too hard at making some cool-sounding twist to wow the readers, while simultaneously pulling one of the most predictable deus ex machina's. While I certainly didn't expect Saitama to learn time reversal from Garou, I predicted that it could just end with time manipulation.

Garou saying “defeat that ominous future” is SO close to that shitty meme where the characters say the title of the series.

So, does this mean one punch man has timelines now? That world is now "dead" since everything on it basically died
Saitama may have proven the world has died since he said "Last request"

So, are we waiting for next chapter? Or will the CRT happen anyway and then stretch on for several pages of arguing about what counts and such due to us having not enough info

@YUIOP10 you are focusing too much on your internal monologue and very little the external dialogue at hand. You are punching air right now.

Focus on just the one point. What is the difference between saitama being a level 100 in a level 5 world that will eventually be level 100 and him being level + 100 to who ever is infront of him?

Realized Cosmic Garou is literally Majin Vegeta

  • Both believe a lie and that lie makes them accept power from someone else who is evil to become "evil" even though they don't want it deep down
  • both of them saying they don't care about others but this being a lie
  • both give their own life's to save the day after realizing the consequences of their actions and then turn to stone and dust

Murata's brain runs on DBZ (and Booba) so he probably took reference from that.

remembers table moment and Garou being a good deal less dignified before a redraw happened

remembers the fact Vegeta gets regularly shit on by villains to establish their power

And one more point, both are bullied by the writer

I swear to god if saitama didnt get the powers he did in this arc, i will be malding my ass out the window

Saitama's most likely going to express having no recollection of mimicking Garou and resetting the timeline in the next chapter like he did at the end of this one. So yeah, back to punchy man (but with good Accelerated Development now).

BUT WOULD HIS AP GET AFFECTED?

he's seemingly always had it, but it gets way faster the more intense emotion he feels

So basically something like "Accelerated Development (Continually gets stronger by an unknown amount. The rate at which he gets stronger increases exponentially when experiencing intense emotion)"

It would probably be battle type

Depends on which interpretation we go with;
  1. "Future Saitama and Present Saitama merged" = He's still 4-A
  2. "Saitama only became 4-A later in the fight and his 4-A future self was erased from existence" = No 4-A
  3. "Saitama was 4-A at the start of the fight long before his explosive growth" = He's still 4-A

Blast in the old timeline currently seeing everyone on Earth is dead including Garou and Saitama just ditched him -

".....*****, what the ****?!"
Watch blast fallowing Saitama's time travel to remind him what happened because he was probably watching via a astral projection

His resistances and Non Physical interaction should also be still there.

Unless we assume he actually has RE and he got those abilities to specifically fight Garou.

He does beat all 4-A’s in physical combat
