Because they were still moving at FTE speeds even during the talking scene, which would supposedly have to take place in 1/220th of a second. And those characters moved during the feat itself.

Zombieman with Compress would be interesting.
Compress /seemingly/ ignores durability and can take chunks out of people, similar to Decay, but has other uses too like trapping people or objects.
