The cosmology to reach high 1-A is so complex that a single slip up in wording or mistranslation could make it or break it.

But assuming ONE somehow read Ctuhulu mythos and based God on the Outer Gods, i feel like all of internet would go crazy and he'd earn his place as anime chuck norris.

wait til the internet hears about my verse

Blizzard saves the day once again.

Remember when she would just cripple completely normal heroes because they wouldn't join her? Fun times.

Actually thinking about that, that was only like 30 days ago in-universe. If that

So we have:

  • Genos on the verge of death
  • Drive knight leaves him to die like a dick lol
  • Blizzard has heaing or technology manipulation of sorts
  • fubuki x Geno's uwu
An alright chapter, not much, but it's decent filler I guess.

"Drive Knight leaves him to die like a dick"

Good, good, Drive Knight is the traitor theories are still in full swing

So Fubuki's got technology manipulation... sorta? She suppressed the thermal radiation. What is this, heat manipulation, radiation manipulation or technology manipulation?

She suppressed the core's thermal motion, which would be heat manipulation.
Heat Manipulation is the ability to manipulate the thermal energy of oneself or the environment. While other abilities, such as Fire Manipulation and Ice Manipulation, may affect the temperature of one's surroundings, this ability refers to having direct control of temperature and heat for any number of purposes.

Child Emperor got below the explosion, guess Blast teleported him.

Genos's core was going to produce a 5 km radius explosion (talking about the fireball I would guess?), so it'd have a bigger fireball than Tsar Bomba. Guess that would be a 7-B+ or a 7-A feat?

Okay then, so healing and heat manipulation for Fubuki.

Fubuki said she would "restore" the organic components, I can't really interpret that kind of restoration as anything but healing

I don't see the point in calcing the core. His boosted form scales above it anyways and his standard form can't use the core's maximum output without going into said boost mode.

In that case we can use the other crater formula.

Just kinda curious is all.
maybe we'll get a statement that the cadres would have survived the explosion, lol

Yes. In the following image, the panel where Genos is looking at the screen with Japanese characters says "Nuclear reactor operational limit", according to the OPM reddit translation

Right, but that assumes the 5 km radius we're talking about is the heavy blast damage radius. I kinda figured it would be the fireball radius we're talking about since S-class guys shouldn't have problems with shockwaves that would be doing structural damage to buildings (but not necessarily destroying them). With a fireball radius of 5 km, it'd be more powerful than Tsar Bomba (which was 50 megatons) so high end 7-B up to low 7-A.

Alright.

Fireboll volume = 2.6179939e+17cm^3
Mass = 3.2070425e+17
Energy = 3.2070425e+17*1001*919
Energy = 2.9502193e+23 Joules

Definitely not a fireball

o.... A Mushroom Blast, not a literally fireboll
Right, well when we're talking about the radius of a nuclear explosion in this thread, we're talking about the near total fatalities area, which I assume is the heavy blast radius, which where the shockwaves are strong enough to severely damage concrete buildings, possibly destroy them. However, shockwaves like that will not kill or necessarily even harm an s-class level fighter, so I think the radius Genos may be referring to is the fireball component of the blast which naturally has a much smaller radius. Tsar Bomba, the 50 megaton nuke, had a fireball radius of 3.5 kilometers

Here's an image of the fireball radius of Tsar Bomba compared to the total destruction radius put over Paris, the fireball radius is much smaller than the area of total destruction.

Qawsed, could you clarify what radius this thread is referring to when it says "near-total fatalities"? Other sites like nukemap distinguish between the fireball, heavy blast damage, moderate blast damage and light blast damage radii.

Its where the PSI wave is capable of killing everyone in the listed area. Its the fireball combined with other stuff
Ah, that's probably roughly what nukemap calls the moderate blast wave (5 psi), which it states is when "most residential buildings collapse, injuries are universal, [and] fatalities are widespread"
