SSB revision part 2: Universal Boogaloo

Because throphy scaling is wrong for these two reasons.

1.-If you go by the "MH sees X as a toy, thus, should be stronger" reasoning, then he would have to be stronger than two tabuus, himself, crazy hand, Master Core, consoles, etc.

Not to mention his own throphy description says that he challenges smash fighters at the end of classic mode, without any indication that he is "holding back", and would scale to the fighters despite being throphies.

2.-Arceus never ever appears on the Subspace Story Mode, which is the only "canon" plot appearance of MH.

Ness and Rosalina are only Low 2-C in their own canon, we don't scale to that.

But there is no reason for that? The whole game is a kid playing with toys of game characters. Why would they get wrong home powerful they were?

I believe there is a reason, but I don't remember it. Perhaps someone else does.

An average kid, like 99% of the rest of the population, could not care in the slightest how powerful something is based on its actual feats from a vs perspective.

An average kid thinks "wouldn't it be cool if Mario and Sonic punched each other in a huge fight?", not "which of these two characters has the best feats over everything they've ever been in and which of them are outliers or low showings?".

I don't think this actually factors into ratings, though.

Super Smash Bros cares more for the battle mechanics and multiplayer competitions...it doesn't really give much care about any of the lore or "worldbuilding" regarding the settings and characters.

@Dragopentling

competive smash was not recognized until brawl where they made it directly not competive as to not have a competive game scene and then in for fourth edition there like we can get money off this and it became a main mechanic of the series up to now with ultimate and you can see this in the fourth games single player modes are like comparative to the prior entrys and ultimate being a balance between the different slyles of the series
