I mean you arent wrong, but you arent right, it was a homing attack but it was done via hia restoration ability.
He put some of his blood on a projectile, flicked the projectle, activated his power thus forcing the blood on the projectile to come back and try to restore itself with the blood on kira's jacket.

I mean you arent wrong, it's technically limited homig attack, homing attack done via a method that limits its usability.

It isnt limited to his blood, he has done it with more then that. It's limited to anything that is apart of something that can be considered a whole.
