I don't see how it's vague seeing how when they eat the soul it can never be reincarnated for one. "A void" would mean nothingness. Backed up by the next statment saying his soul doesn't exist when eated. Its pretty clear its erasure.

It wasn't debunked at all people were just unhappy about it and it got voted off. I don't know why that one guy was comparing it to soul desttoying of the quinces. It was glossed over with hardly any reasoning.

Its more then just eating as ive demonstrated and on this websites own definition existence erasure is just the ability to erasure things out of existence doesbt have to involve souls. However whats being erased here is the soul.PaChi2 said:

It's not soul destruction as I've demonstrated. EE doesnt need to require that. The soul is erased from existence including the mind. The body remains as a empty sheel.

Again ignoring the fact that it's later stated that supposedly Ban's will/soul doesn't exist anymore after its been eaten. Word "void" just supports that.

Our standards for EE needs more than just the soul to be destroyed and erased bro. So when u think about it, no damage to the body in any form was pretty much gonna shut down this whole EE thing sooner or later

Acacia (Toriko) has EE -because when he eats someone their whole being gets assimilated. If you wanted reference about what is actual EE via eating.
