Save The World: Chapter 2

Josian spent these weeks perfecting the use of Hellflame in more devastating techniques.

Now he could rain Hellflame and create waves of Hellflame.

He had even combined most of his attacks with black flames and changed his elemental physiology to no longer being an elemental of fire, but made of Hellflame.

Besides, he had spent much of his time watching over Yuno, he still didn't trust her.

[For those who have not read, Hellflame is a combination of the following elements.

Fire: Imix

Shadow: any skill of Doomknight or Shadow Walker of Time.

Ice: Wizard's Skill, Ice Strike

Life absorption: Life Carve from Doomknight's skill]

Melanie has spent lost of the time practicing her magic and her new powers that she got from that strange Gourmand, while also doing several different things with the other Choosen. At most she had sparring matches with them, where she focused on her sword skills and her various abilities that were a...little more difficult to use. Specifically her way to put people to sleep and her stamina spells.

She had little progress learning any new spells, though, as she was only able to get basic elemental spells down. Even then she could only control such minor amounts of the chosen elements that it was hard to put it into combat, and it was infuriating. She wanted to get better at this, but she was having difficulty in doing so.

She hadn't bothered to think about any of the awkward situations she may or may not have had over the few weeks. Thoughts of her team members filled her mind constantly, and some...were admittedly more explicit than others. Those thoughts she pushed down to the inner recesses of her mind, and chose not to dwell on lest her training and studies were to be interrupted. Those are thoughts that would never become a reality. She had dreams she knew would not come true, and due to this she was getting more infuriated with herself each second.

"You're here to save the world, not to make friends or relationships." It's what she always told herself in the passing days. As days became weeks, thoughts were harder to ignore, and the sheer amount of homesick she was feeling made her awful. She longed for a warm embrace of someone who loved her; or just to be among the company of those that she enjoyed.

Obviously she chose to become acquainted with most, though some were more difficult than others. Boris And Kisetsu being the more difficult ones to approach. However, Kisetsu made it up by being adorably innocent. Boris was just...odd. Every minute spent around him was too much stimulus for her to handle.

Even with relationships forming she knew it'd never get to the point where a hug was acceptable, where she could do anything more than a couple friendly gestures, but she could dream. She longed for affection but replaced it with just locking herself in her room and practicing spells a decent chunk of the time, coming out for required interaction or to eat or to feed her frogs.

Thats where she ultimately was now. She was eating some food at the kitchen. Well, food wasn't really the word she'd use to describe it. It's pieces of metal she broke off from her room walls a couple days ago because she was hungry. She just chose to enjoy it in the kitchen because maybe she'd have some company. All the same, she felt bored and lonely.

Dedric had spent his time training and growing his power, gaining techniques and testing out his "new" ones.

However as the days became weeks he simply grew angrier and more volatile desiring true combat and the rush of being on the edge of death.

He also found that if he didnt keep injecting himself with the corrosive drugs that his mind would deteriorate even farther and cause his body to ach and grown, luckily he seemed to have a large enough supply for the time.

During the passing weeks, Kisetsu didn't really do that much besides relax, eat, hang out with Dedric, and forget things.

[He could have seen Josian ... maybe ... like some kind of father figure or something like that]
((She already has a father figure so that'd be a bit odd and I can't imagine the relationship going that far so soon. However if you got ideas for what the two can do at any point in the roleplay feel feee to take it to my wall. That goes for anyone really, though.))

Through the weeks, Silas had been practicing hard at mastering his new weapons. He carefully trained with each one, learning their flaws and advantages until he could use them all at once in various ways without losing any effectiveness. The more time that passed by, the more time he had to look back on the fight with the general and his own contributions.

I need to get better. Good enough that I won't get injured. Good enough that I won't need the others to worry about healing me.

Silas also started to incorporate Mind's Eye into his fighting style more often, using bursts of speed to throw off the opponent before finishing them.

[Mh ... I already have something in mind, but for now it's a bit early ... we'll miss it again a few months ... at her birthday, however there would be nothing wrong if Josian had taught her something about some spell ]

@Dragon

"Not bad, Silas ... I see that you have learned to master my gift very well," Josian began, watching him.

"Anyway ... I think it's time for a more challenging challenge" I exclaim, sprinkling Soul Ripper with Hellflame.

"How about facing me in a duel? Only you, me ... and our weapons ... nothing else"

Colis spent the first few days training, only to find he already learned as much as he needed to. After all... what could beat mastery of guns, space severing swords and immortality? He had no human weaknesses to cover up.

Instead, he decided to give everyone Hamon via hitting them hard enough in the diaphragm to force their breathing into such a fashion that they generate the energy of the sun. Then, he spent the rest of his time just seeing what everyone else was doing, and if Melanie was fine with her new status.

For the past few weeks I've eaten, gotten used to my new powers...and got a new outfit to fit this more fantasy setting.

I've also spent time patrolling around the base and looking at everyone's stats and abilities. Well, I can't turn off my power...so it's not like I was secretly trying to look at thier stats and abilities without them noticing...although a few of them must have had some kind of resistance to my ability, because their stats and abilities never showed themselves for some reason.

But for most of these days, I've done nothing except practice with a long sword, and I plan on asking DJ if I can have someone use that vibranium to make me a sword...and incorporate that into my new fighting style.

"My current fighting method won't work. Not at all, everyone else's powers are too good."

Right now I stand in the kitchen, a sandwitch in hand and a dull long sword on my back.

Seeing that Melanie was in the kitchen, and that Yuno was close by, Melanie decided it would be best to talk to her. Yuno was the youngest one in the group, after all, being only a year younger than Melanie herself. That just made Melanie more interested, though, because being young and going through this can...really screw you up...

"How are you, Yuno?" Melanie asked after clearing her throat to get her attention. "How's the past couple days been treating you?"

@Dmua

[Make sure you don't wait long ... or at least until I have Ghost Rider ... and when that time comes ... you won't be able to do anything against me]

I look over to the strange girl who suddenly approached me out of nowhere after all this time.

...Her name is Melanie. She's another person I should look out for, with those abilities of hers...

"I'm fine. I've just been spening time on my sword technique...and combing it with that "Hamon" ability that Colis shared with us."

A pause briefly.

"And, you?"

Gen spent most of the past few weeks exploring a random world after making the request to DJ to send him there. During his travels he helped out where he could, furthering his mastery with Hamon and light magic as well as improving his psychometry. He even developed a few Nen abilities. Eventually, he returned to home base in a refreshing new outfit.

"Oh, yes, I...haven't actually bothered using it. I have a lot more on my mind than that...strange stuff." She shook her head. "I've just been a bit lonely, is all, but I think I'll be fine. Getting a bit homesick though. Not sure about you."

"Homesick, huh...I suppose it would be okay to go home and show father and my siblings my new power....but I'd rather spend my time getting stronger. If we neglect our duties, all of our worlds are at stake."

"If you're lonely, maybe you should get a slave. My Onii-chan says that they always keep him company when he's alone at night."

"Uh...excuse me?" Melanie's voice seemed to rise as she wasn't nearing the end of her question. "Is...is owning slaves just a casual thing that you do? That's...sort of messed up..."

For the past few weeks I have been focusing my Future Vision to try and help locate the next Stereo Sphere, though so far it's been to no avail. I've mixed in these gazes into the future with training to better hone my abilities.

"Mh ... you know what ... first I'm going to eat something, I want a sandwich ... and then we'll duel" I say, sheathing my sword and teleporting to the main hall.

Arrived in this place I headed to the kitchen, when I hear a conversation between Melanie and Yuno.

"If you're lonely, maybe you should get a slave. My Onii-chan says that they always keep him company when he's alone at night."

"Uh ... excuse me?"

"Is ... is owning slaves just a casual thing that you do?" That's ... sort of messed up ... "

I growl and then enter the kitchen.

"Since her father is a dictator who rules the world, I think it is ... normal," I say, in a voice full of resentment.

I see Josian enter the kitchen during my conversation with Melanie and ignore his comment as I respond to her question.

"I don't own any slaves myself; but it's not something uncommon among my siblings. I've never thought that there's much of a reason for it...since everyone listens to what I say anyway."

I begin leaving the kitchen as I finish my sandwitch.

"You're a pretty genuine person Melanie...I can feel that, unlike some other people."

After briefly glancing at Josian, I return my gaze to Melanie.

"If you see DJ anywhere around here, can you tell him that I want to talk to him in private?"

After ending the coversation, I make my way towards the training room....to continue my daily sword training.

"Oh, uh...that's interesting..." Melanie muttered with a shake of her head. " my dad is a dentist so the only thing I ever got was how to get rid of cavities and toothbrushes. I don't think slaves are in option even if I wanted one, which I don't."

Yuno is a girl tho

"In my world slavery has been banned for centuries, this went against the precepts of Senna, the Goddess of Life"

"Besides, I never met my father ..." I say, sitting on a chair next to her.

"Uh...same where I come from," Melanie said after waving yuno goodbye, looking slightly disappointed. She wanted to talk to her more. "I mean...where I come from everything was pretty normal. I had a mom, a dad...everything you need I guess. Had a girlfriend for a little while, too, but...that ended."

Josian raised an eyebrow.

"Did you have a girlfriend? I didn't imagine ... I don't even imagine you had a boyfriend," he chuckled slightly.

Melanie let out a small chuckle and shook her head, tapping her fingers against the table. "I had a boyfriend in sixth grade. Lasted for a month at most. We kissed and that was when I decided boys were gross. Haven't dated one since." She let out another laugh and sighed.

After going into a fit of rage and destroying my room I eventually calm and head to the kitchen for some food.

Josian nodded.

"Commandment of the Goddess of love Venas:

Do not be afraid to love, because it is out of love that I made you ... and I made you to love"

"One of my favorite verses from the book of the Twelve," he smiled slightly.
