Save The World: Chapter 2

Melanie blinked the moment the biblical verse came about and just sorta stared. "Uh...okay." She said with a nod, pretending like she actually understood why that was so relevant. Her eyes then glanced over to Jet, who entered the room, and she smiled. "Hey, Jet. How's your day been?"
 
I take a drink from my glass of milk and turn to face Melanie. "*Sigh* Pretty good all things considered. But I still haven't been able to locate the next Sphere yet. It must be avoiding my Future Vision somehow..." I respond.
 
"I mean, uh...what's the rush, you know? The closer we get to that sphere the closer we get to uh...possibly kicking the bucket." Melanie let out an awkward chuckle. Her body language became much more inward. She rubbed her hand on her neck. "But uh, you can sit down with us if you like. I mean, you don't have to but uh, it'd be nice to just, uh, chat, you know?"
 
I think for a moment. "Sure, why not?" I say and sit at the table. "And while it is true that our present mission is quite dangerous, the faster we do this the faster we can all get back home. Who knows what's happened to everyone while I've been gone..." I say with a somber tone.
 
((Don't you mean croak))

Melanie glanced at Josian and gave him a look that said "shut up", followed by the awkward sound of her clearing her throat. She glanced back at Jet and nodded. "Yeah, I want to go too. I'm sure my family misses me, but...I mean, it's also kinda upsetting if we don't get to see each other again, yeah?"
 
((No the joke is or you'll croak, not or you'll choke because uh, croak also means die. It's a stupid pun.))

"Huh? Doubts? What do you mean?"
 
"I unfortunately have nothing to return to, now all that remains of my life ... is this"

I show the pendant with a photo of my wife and my daughter.
 
"Err, nothing for right now" I say my smile suddenly regained. "I'm just anxious to see my friends again, it's been awhile is all."
 
I walk into the kitchen in the midst of the others conversation and startmaking my self some Eggs and Toast.
 
"I mean, I get what you mean. I...I miss home too. I'm getting homesick and I'm just dying for-Uh...never mind." She shook her head before glancing at the pendant Josian was showing. "Oh...I'm sorry to hear that.."
 
During the two weeks that passed by, i tried to become to deepen my bond with the other chosens and form a somewhat of a buddy relationship with the other girls of the group (with the exception with Yuno), ... but i honestly are quite bad at social interactions, so i don't know how well i did,

In the meanwhile, Colis tried giving making me learn his sun energy magic, but my lungs don't work so i was unable to, DAMMIT.

Other things i did were:

  • Get more in touch with the people that give me powers, leaning about their backstories and personalities.
  • Train with my abilties, while creating new one out of already existing ones.
  • Learn how to make combos out of my attacks and make plans of actions for combact shenarios.
and a bunch more stuff.

Current time:

I went to the kitchen area, where i was enjoing an apple in an angle of them room, while listening to the conversation happening

I finish eating the apple and go next to my teamates (the teamates being Jet, Melenie and Josian)
 
"Uh..." Melanie frowned and leaned away a little. "I mean, I don't think you can really do that at the moment. I feel like leaving here is...just a bad idea in general, you know?" She shook her head. "I don't even know how you'd do that."
 
Melanie blinked and stared at the ports before shaking her head and slowly scooting her chair away. "Uh...maybe keep that for later? I mean...i wouldn't want to get my parent's hopes up, but...how come you haven't told me about this sooner?"
 
[I'll fix it]

I take out my Dimensional Scissors and close the portal with them. "Thanks, but I will not tolerate deserters on this team."
 
"Have you ever spoken to me in these weeks?" I ask, tilting my head slightly and showing an expression of obviousness.
 
"I mean, I make an effort to talk to everyone," she said with a roll of her eyes. "I mean, I've talked to Kisetsu, Jet a couple times...tried talking to Boris, talked to Yuno, Collis a couple times and..hey, asked Natalie. I've talked to you for a while, right?" She gestured to Natalie, who she just realized was in the room, and waved at her.

"...I have talked to you at least this week right?"
 
Kisetsu, while in the training room, starts to mess around with elemental manipulation. "Dohohoho~." She starts creating furniture with metal manip. by manipulating the metal floor.
 
Austin spent most of his time just kinda sitting there in non-corporeality, occasionally manifesting when the need arose. He is, in fact, still doing this
 
"Although once I visited the elemental plan of Imix ... and I left after thirty seconds ... that place was horrible" I mutter.

Then I look up.

"Shut up Imix! I don't care if you had a kingdom! I don't intend to spend my days governing in a pseudo-hell with the stench of sulfur!"
 
"Uh...okay. Kermit used to run a kid show," Melanie muttered as her eyes glanced off to the side. This was just getting weird now. "Anyways, hopefully this next sphere does pop up soon though. I mean we gotta find it before the other guy does."
 
"Nah, don't worry ... we'll manage ... and now we're pretty strong, for example I made Hellflame rain from the sky ... it was a rather turbulent Saturday" I laughed.
 
Weeks of little else to do, I spent most of my time in the training room, clones practicing combos with the Omnitrix as well as mastering chakra control. . Interactions with the other Chosen were minimal because of it but I was still on cordial terms.

...... I think. They're a bunch of weirdos but are hardly bad by any means .... okay so a few are questionable but no one's been murdered in their sleep yet so we should be in the clear at this point.

In a flash of green, I return to what has become my new default form of Ghost Freak, lazily floating back to the commons.
 
"Oh ... and I remember when Colis wanted to infuse me with his Hamon ... I laughed like a crazy when his hand went on fire when he hit me ... he forgot that I am now made of fire" I smile.
 
Kisetsu has an idea, she creates a metal sword with her metal manip., she then clumsily swings it around some. "Hehehehe~!" Kisetsu seems impressed with herself.
 
I jump to see Silas behind me.

"Oh ... sorry, I had forgotten ... I stayed here to talk a bit with the others ... ehy, do you remember last Wednesday? When did I make you face a giant elemental made of Hellflame? You have spent an hour to understand that he was immune to conventional weapons "I exclaim, then laugh.

[During these weeks, Josian taught Silas how to best use Hellflame dagger]
