So uh...the Skill Points system is lowkey a canon explanation for Team RWBY getting as strong as they did as fast as they did, the cast pushing themselves as hard as they did during their training literally manifested a form of ethereal energy that made them stronger

Something I found regarding Aura on the Wiki:
When the Aura of a Maiden is depleted, they appear vulnerable to having their abilities stolen, as shown when Cinder Fall first broke Amber's Aura before using the glove on her to sap her powers. Although after receiving her Shadow Hand, that is no longer the case for her and could now siphon it directly.
Base Resistance to Power Absorption for Aura and enhanced Power Absorption for Cinder and Salem?

Makes sense, as of Before the Dawn its canon that Grimm can directly absorb souls

Though that would only be for the Shadow Hand, not the Beetle. So Cinder would have regular Power Absorption in the Beacon Arc and enhanced Post Beacon. Salem just has enhanced since she has both.

Generally it would not scale to stats but would scale to any mental/empathic manipulation powers they have. It could scale to the potency of powers like reality warping and creation if the mental world was made with an ability in that category. If the feat was done through an energy pool they use for physical attacks and powers, than the total energy in that world would scale to their AP and durability (at least when using that much energy). How much energy involved depends on how much we can see, determine and guess about the world. If we can just see a landscape for example, we'd go off the size of that. But if there's a moon in the sky we could assume it's a planet and moon system. If there's a sun, it would probably be a solar system. So on and so forth As you can see, it should really be evaluated on a case-by-case basis Especially since such feats can often be major outliers when scaled to stats
