Rulers of Their Own Universes

Galeem, easily. Before releasal of the game, Nintendo had already described Galeem as the most powerful Smash villain so far, and Tabuu's spirit power level was lower than Galeem as well. Galeem also had control of hundreds of Master Hands. As long as Dharkon is interfering, he could easily also engulf the world in light annihilating Tabuu in the process. Galeem wins, and since Dharkon is equal to him, he could beat Tabuu as well.

I don't think we can consider spirit power levels as anything special. KK Slider has a stronger spirit than Tabuu for example, and Medusa's KIU form is stronger than the final form of Hades, despite being the opposite way round in Uprising.

I do think Tabuu would lose, simply because the light rays seem much more dangerous than the Off Waves. Both are OHKO attacks, but Tabuu didn't disintergrate the cast while using the Off Waves. Galeem did.

I feel like the Spirit power levels for Kirby and Smash characters should count since the power levels are likely made by Masahiro Sakurai (who created both Kirby and Smash) and either way Tabuu was enslaved by Galeem and then later Dharkon. Even if you say that's just as a cameo or anything like that, that may not be true and he may have survived the events of SSBB and even if not, it's obvious the game is trying to tell you that Galeem and Dharkon are both more powerful. And not to mention Galeem and Dharkon both annihilated an army of Master Hands/Crazy Hands.

Tabuu was already one of the spirits present in the Mysterious Dimension as the answer to the final quiz before battling Marx. This basically implies that Galeem already killed Tabuu

Wouldn´t that then make this match redundant, and so not addable to the pages?

..I disagree. Saikou already made an argument of Tabuu's waves ignoring dura, and not just being very high AP. Tabuu attacks first, it's more IC for him to do so, and he does mostly uses his waves, Galeem may start with his normal non-hax moves, which would not one-shot Tabuu.

I vote Tabuu.

No, the problem is that such match was already something that happened in canon, meaning that this is redundant, and so not addable as per the rules I´ve seen in previous threads regarding such thing.

Yep

Does context means nothing to you? This battle did no happen in the canon, that's stupid, Galeem just attacked everyone in the universe and in general using hax, he did that after staying still for a while and absorbing many MHs. If anyone in the roster in that moment were Tabuu Galeem would be death. And this is even ignoring how Tabuu being a Spirit makes no sense in the canon, that fact just means that Galeem's rays of light, which are hax, would work on him, so what?

Oh, so this is more like Tabuu being aware of Galeem´s existance, right?

It may not make sence, but you actually have to defeat him while sealed in a body replica (just like any other "Spirit") to progress the plot in the story mode.
