The platform rises as the dome shrinks into a column near the rift and the cord connected to the platform thickens as it lifts the man towards the winged monsters.

The man heard the noises of the final creature, leaping up and reaching out the arm with the blade, stabbing into part of the creature. His blade was practically like a joystick at this point, which he used in an attempt to steer the beast toward the ground.
