Qrow Branwen vs Kyoko Sakura

Kyoko used her cloning in Puella Magi: Different Story when she was at disadvantage. What makes you sure she wouldn't go for it once she learned Qrow is the stronger fighter?

Why aren't we talking about Kyoko's most powerful attack that can possibly kill her? Not out right but definitely can. That's her most powerful in terms of AP and yet that would not kill Qrow. Even so in this fight she'll use it and be left vulnerable

Kyoko's most powerful attack isn't the reason why she is Low 7-B, likely 7-B. She battled against False Sayaka and managed to hold her own despite being overall outmatched. Mind you that False Sayaka has timestop back then.

The entire fight against Mami is done using a clone.

Also, she used Scorpion Spear against Oktavia because her others attacks do not negate Mid regen.

That and Rosso Fantasma basically wasn't a thing back when the anime was made. It's introduced and detailed in Different Story

Doesn't <18 * 7 = <136? Flimsy, but that's the total amount hitting you isn't it? At max at least.

Even if they're weaker they're still gonna hit hard, clones and all. And misfortune is questionable on when it's effective or not since it barely helps and can even be self-destructive to Qrow on his fight with Tyrian. Certainly hasn't helped him against Hazel last time I checked.

So yeah going for Kyoko, a shame best uncle's gotta lose, but he knows the trouble of dealing with magical girls.

@COB

7 attacks =/= An attack with 7 times higher AP (tanking 7 attacks is easier in comparison)

Yeah thought it was flimsy, but it would still be very distracting to deal with 7 at once and would guarantee a lot of hits. Slowly chips away.

When the thing you need to hit to kill someone is smack dab in the middle of their chest its pretty easy to hit with a sword the size of their body that you can swing around like a toothpick

Is Kyoko more of a nimble dodge around style fighter, or a more straight forward fighter? If it's the latter that's really bad for her since Qrow can go Scythe mode then. It was WoG I believe that he didn't go Scythe mode since it's bad vs agile fighters like Tyrian.

Actually, even if she is more of the dodge kind of fighter, scythe mode would be so helpful vs a large amount of targets. Ozpin even stated that Qrow was the greatest Scythe weilder on Remnant, coupled with Qrow's bad luck and large ap and dura advantagea, he has a really good chance.

Kyoko is straightforward only against fodder (like Sayaka). She is actually one of the most mobile magical girls. There is a reason if Mami basically turned the arena into a giant trap while fighting her.

Also worth pointing out that Kyoko has better range both in CQC and with projectiles (also AoE)

I still think Qrow's superior experience, higher AP, and passive bad luck coupled with Kyoko's tendency to not lead with duplication and the horribly exposed placement of her soul gem will net Qrow a win here

She does use duplication if needed. And she is smart enough to understand that she is physically outmatched when they cross their weapons.

Anyway counted

Voting Qrow for reasons above

I just wanted to clarify that the whole Qrow's sword being big argument was about him only needing to stab her once through the chest fully, the swords wideness would encompass the gem by sheer size.

Also 25+ years of experience......I meant 25+ years of combat experience since Huntsmen are trained since they are (at the earliest known) 15 (Ruby's age) and continue from there. Qrow having been part of the Tribe he is mostly used to fighting people whom they killed and robbed from and Raven stated they were much better than the average Huntsmen at Beacon.

Ok that's all.

Tbh I should have used Yachiyo. Battle of the 7-Bs who bring misfortune despite not wanting to do so
