They see Ace struggle to fight old Whitebeard and get beaten by Blackbeard, yet they insist that he could stomp Hybrid Kaido.

After reading this take those thoughts have come rushing back.

"Severely harm" is a bit much but, since WoG confirmed that Phoenix Marco does have a physical body (hence why we scale Base King w/ a no Haki sword to cutting Marco's wing), Queen's cyborg gun putting a bunch of big holes in Marco is valid.

A lot of things pierce Marco's phoenix body because it's not really supposed to have high durability in the first place.

It's valid regardless but Marco's flames have "special properties" which seem to repel flame attacks.

Sure, but we see him get hit directly and not get a hole blown through him.

What gives bullets their alleged piercing damage. If the KE of King's bullets simply knocked Marco back while Queen's blew holed through him, then that not only validates Queen's feat, but means Queen's attack scale above the flame bullets.

Tbf Marco was actively guarding against King's flame bullets but wasn't against Queen.
