Natsu vs. Pit (An Angel Seeks Out A Demon) (Voting Completed)

After learning of the countless sites of destruction left by some shady character called "The Salamander," Palutena sends Pit to go confront him, but not before bestowing the Three Sacred Treasures onto Pit, sensing that this will be one of his most challenging battles yet. Pit searched the country to locate this Salamander, until a large explosion erupted from from a random town which just happened to be nearby, to which Palutena confirmed it was indeed the Salamander. Pit then flew down to face his foe, not knowing what kind of foe he was facing.

Meanwhile, Natsu had finished off this group of strange monsters ,which appeared as floating eyes or green balls with mouths ,that had been plaguing a town for a while until they sent a request to Fairy Tail, when suddenly a winged figure in armor landed behind him. After the angel asked if he was this Salamander he had heard about, Natsu assumed that he was, in fact, the leader of these monsters, and decided to take him down, despite the angel's protests. But who will win? Today, we find out!

In the blue corner, we have Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail, and in the red corner, we have Pit from Kid Icarus.



-This battle is to the death or incapacitation. No holds barred.
-Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time.

-While Palutena is allowed to give Pit guidance for this fight, neither character are allowed any other forms of outside help.

-This battle takes place in "That First Town," technically giving Pit the home court advantage.

-This is a battle between Fire Dragon King Mode Natsu, and Pit has the Three Sacred Treasures.

-Speed is equalized.

Honestly, Pit just has more "hax", so to speak. Intangibility means nothing in this fight, but he can transmutate, go invisible, and just drop the man into a black hole. Natsu has no good counters.

It was argued to be stompish in Pit's favour with him having both AP and hax advantages. But Natsu is more than capable of win due to the growing AP advantage via Rage Power.

Still I feel Pit can win here. He has some hax that Natsu has but he has the advantage with the others.

Okay, so let me get this straight here. There were arguments that this was a stomp because Pit had both hax and AP advantage. But, now that Natsu's AP has been confirmed to be much higher than Pit's, this is no longer considered a stomp?

Having a win condition doesn't mean he can execute it in any capacity.

Having a way to win and being able to actually do it are two different things. That's why hax-stomps exist in the first place.

You yourself said Natsu has "no counters" to Pit's hax. If he can't stop Pit inevitably haxing him or find some way around it, it's a stomp.

Pit? He mainly just opens up by firing his Arrow of Light, a bow that launches rapid-fire homing arrows at Natsu that appears to nullify invulnerability and intangibility, since it can destroy the normally unkillable Orres.

Yes. Just like many matches have no counters to the others hax. That doesn't mean Pit always uses said hax. He has tons of abilities and with an AP advantage there is an argument for Natsu just wiping Pit out before he gets to it. Without knowing Pits character too well, I assume it is relatively random what he uses. Which means Natsu has a fairly sized win condition. But my vote still goes to Pit for winning more often.

The AP gap isn't large enough to where Natsu could just kill him before he could respond; I'd imagine he'd try and use abilities that would end the match more quickly if he was pressed into a corner.

I know nothing of Pit's character and was using statements from you, so I suppose this is just a massively desisive match.

Meanwhile there's a thread where BB is getting all of his attacks eaten with an even smaller AP advantage and no clear win state due to his opponent capacity of become even stronger and DragonEmperor said that isn't a stomp but this is. So what's the difference?
