Nanatsu no Taizai General Discussion Thread 22

I'm not gonna lie, I think Escanor 'losing' to Meliodas in that flashback was likely just him getting hurt and realizing his humanity, and thus decided to work for them. Could also be a product of him getting stronger over time considering how he starts to win against more and more stronger people at every match whenever he activates The One.

Or Nakabu just shot scaling chain at the foot.

Idk. I like the first one better cause it shows a weakness to Escanor and also makes the character scaling proper. It could also justify the statements of Escanor going "We can now finally figure out who's the strongest between us" or such.

If it isn't Prime Mel that One Shot Escanor that makes very little sense, since Escanor One-Shot a Post-Revival Meliodas, plus he shouldn't have Assault Mode when Unsealed, because at minimum it's 142,000 and his max was about 55,000 with his Unsealed Power, plus in this extra chapter and another extra chapter around Danafor, Meliodas has his Prime Demon Mark

So Prime Mel should be what have One-Shot The One Escanor, or it makes even less sense

Escanor should have lost within the actual story and to a character that deserve this feat, like the demon king for example.

Instead Nakaba ruined his character by making lose to the Gary Sure in A FLASHBACK objectively turning Escanor into a delusional mess. I wouldn't mind the DK stomping Escanor to the ground and make him realize he's just a human, instead we have Escanor freaking fighting the DK on equal ground and then losing to The Gray Sue who he alrady defeated 100 chapters ago.

It's like everything is flipped on it's head. Nakaba is legit one of the worst authors I saw in recent years.

I remember a few threads ago when I was like "Inb4 Escanor gets oneshotted".

Everyone was like "what series are u reading" and "it's Escanor bro" now it's happened and the world is on is head.

i think nakaba was like "alright i'm done with the series now"

SJ:"no you aren't we got to have a fight with the big bad again!"

nakaba:"but...i don't wanna write a forced epilouge with DK"

SJ:"too bad."

Don't shift blame off of Nakaba, the Original Demon and Demon King Meliodas fight were trash too, this is his fault as a writer, I likely won't think it's that bad when the series ends and I can look at it objjectively, but right now, it's just really bad

I would've been OK with a One-Shot from the Demon King, but this Escanor is fighting evenly against the Demon King and got One-Shot by Meliodas

So yeah I'm only mad because Meliodas One-Shot

Does SJ mean Shonen Jump, because NNT isn't SJ, it's Kodansha, which has treated it's authors well relatively

Too much potasium is bad for your health, m8.

oh i got confused because i heard NNT was in WSJ

still i don't think nakaba would write a very clearly forced ending.

Prime Mel being in the flashack makes even less sense, and since the author is so stupid to remember his own manga, fans are not making their own headcanon and treat as facts.

I would been fine with DK one shotting Escanor tbh. It give Escanor character devlop and give the DK the hype needed.

Instead we have Escanor fighting DK in the present and get stomped by Mel in the flashback. It's like Nakaba's brain works backword.

@Zero

Should've responded "And who decided that?"
And that is when I link some guidelines about the relation between potasium, blood pressure and increase of myocardic dysfunction.

We'll see, I feel that even if Escanor dies here the 6DS would need to combine their powers just to finish off the DK that Escanor weakened.

Escanor only cried cause he know the plot would be ruined if he just stands up and oneshots Mel back. You can't make a time paradox or anything that contradicts the story. That's Nakabas's job.

Totally not related to him actually feeling pain and realizing that he's still human. Yup yup.

Meanwhile this midget's family is oneshotted by Escanor, well, minus DK. And DK is making Mel his bch recently.

Not really humiliation if you lose against MC aura/BS. Hopefully Escanor oneshots DK and completes the record.
Sad. This is what we call negation. Call it BS, aura, whatever you like, but Escanor was literally oneshoted by Mel in The One form. Mel in his Prime > Escanor, the same way that Escanor > the AM Mel he fought.
