Most downplayed character, in your opinion

I once saw someone on Reddit unironically.

Argue that Kid Goku is outerversal because he defeated Demon King Piccolo who "iS tHe EMboDimEnT oF eViL!" Therefore making him a concept and since Kid Goku defeated a concept he's now outerversal
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t that just be concept manipulation?

Well for a long time, people thought that being a concept equates to 1-A, when that is a really, really outdated notion. But now, yeah, it's likely just concept manip assuming that King Piccolo is literally the concept of evil

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

That was also the same guy who argued Naruto being Outerversal.

Because he's the Child Of Destiny thus making him a concept.

I was the guy arguing for seiya, and wow did dd shock me hard. No one could find a good match for him, so 5hread was closed Here

Yeah (thankfully not too common) there is the suspension of believe that refuses to accept any medieval fantasy verses as powerful due to their "primitive" technology/culture, folks being "stupid" in those times and ofc the classic guns > swords/sorcery argument.

Speaking of medieval fantasy, there is a noticable amount of folks that enjoy NNT but caps the verse at around 7-B likely 7-A with all the higher end feats being classed as hax or environment destruction (I can understand that PoV tbh).

But this is the first time I've seen two verses in the similar genre get downplayed like THAT lol!.

Undertale gets downplayed a lot on this wiki, i remember when Sans was building level to small building level and now human level physically and wall level with telekinesis.

Umineko characters are sometimes downplayed as some people think that most of them are only human level because it was proven in one of the endings that magic and witches never existed and everything happened with Battler was just a dream

I feel so sad for those who get Umineko spoiled. I remember I exiled myself from this wiki and basically the internet so that I could enjoy Umineko fully.

I loved every moment. I should really add it to my favourite verses list.

this shouldn't make them human level, Cthulhu is a dream too
Nah dude, Umineko is 9-C with its God-tiers (Prime Krauss and possibly Rudolf). It's all either a dream or flowery language, generally both. The same way we don't upgrade MTV Spider-Man based on feats he did while in a dream.

You should stop talking about stuff you don't know, really.
....... What I meant is that some people are trying to downplay Umineko based on this ending that's all.....Idk a lot about Umineko but I heard that there is an ending where it shows that everything happened wasn't real and people are using it to downplay the verse that's pretty much all I said....

There's your problem: you have heard. Your info comes from 2nd, 3rd, or god knows what number of- hand knowledge, not from primary source, i.e. the material. Same for those who downplay it using said knowledge that they very likely didn't got from the source material.

Okay...... can you explain to me why people think Umineko is human level and why they are bringing one of Umineko endings to justify their claims then ?

People take the Trick Ending, a non-canon ending which was made by the author just to appease the readers that didn't like the magic stuff and it's a literal middle-finger to the entire story, characters, and it's themes (and to the audience too), to mean that magic isn't real period when that's extremely easily debunkable. But those are the people that at least read some of Umineko.

The others, like Michael Julius (which you likely know from ComicVine) are literally making shit up based on fan theories already disproved by the story itself (all of Umineko is Lambda's dream, which is so LMFAO if you had actually read the story), or are literally misinterpreting scans to mean what they want to mean (ex: someone to me said that a scan that was talking about waiting for the police to arrive and ideantify the culprit actually means that the Witches were fearing the police and their guns, i.e. human guns > witches).

But which of those endings are canon?
