SP acting while Jotaro is unconscious is not instinctive reaction, as SP itself still has to react to the attacks.

I also disagree with Instictive Reaction; regarding the Angelo case that could also have easily been Jotaro stopping time to punch Angelo's Stand off of him.

And Jotaro wasn't unconscious when Star Platinum restarted his heart. He says himself that if he passes out he will die.

Can we at least agree that Star Platinum keeps vigil as long as Jotaro is conscious.

Also, time stop was never used during the Angelo fight.

No, because Jotaro has been taken off guard many times and his Stand hasn't automatically protected him.

And I'm saying it's ambiguous whether timestop was used. Timestop doesn't always come with the special Za Warudo effect when he uses it.

???

You're making a lot of speculation. There's no indicitor that Jotaro stopped time. We don't see the usual visual effects associated with it nor do we hear any in the anime.

Fair but he's still in a state of non-thinking. Stopping your heart causes immediate hypoxia, a physical condition that renders you oxygen deprived. Coherent thought and ability very quickly becomes impossible . This should logically mean Jotaro is incapable of directing Star Platinum to do anything, let alone something requiring extreme precision. The only suitable explanation is instinctive reaction on his stands part, a reoccuring ability.

What would be more suitable to call it?

SP being able to act of its own violation to protect Jotaro.

Doesn't really constitute a power as much as it rules out a potential weakness of Jotaro having to command SP to do stuff.

Star Platinum did defend Jotaro on his behalf, but Instinctive Reaction is basically a form of uncanny dodge. Star Platinum deflected the bullets and knives. If Jotaro dodged them without giving a thought process then it is considered Instinctive Reaction. Deflecting is not necessarily instinctive because Star Platinum had to see and move his hand to the direction of the knife. Therefore ruling out Jotaro's Star Platinum from having Instinctive Reaction
