I really hope that made sense to you guys. Another example to prove that naruto characters get stronger while fighting in battles is,in Naruto and Sasuke's final battle they became stronger than kaguya by their power alone. Sasuke absorbed all the bijuu's with his perfect susano'o and Naruto absorbed all the nature energy around the entire area they were fighting in and that alone was stronger than kaguya.
