A long time ago, Rad posted a calc made by someone else for Techno Blast being lightspeed and calcing Mewtwo dodging it. In all seriousness, it shouldn't be LS...if it were Techno Blast. That was Signal Beam. Signal Beam past gen III was called a beam of light, and it has been demonstrated as such. Heck, it even follows the whole "information is only light speed" because it's well...Signal Beam. Transmits signals. Even the Pokemon that learn it (or at least a portion of them) have some true light/lightspeed things related to them. The Porygon family can learn it, which we rate as Lightspeed. Ampharos' line can learn it, which acts as an actual lighthouse. Chinchou's line can learn it, and they have a literal light on their head. There are also other lightspeed moves in Pokemon. There's Prismatic Laser, Flash, Doom Desire, Tail Glow (though it's not an attack), and Judgement. And @Cropfist came up with a good point that the gen 1, 2 and 4 legendaries should be faster than Porygon (who appears in the regional Pokedex in those gens), whether it's data or not, especially given that Mewtwo was the greatest man-made Pokemon at the time (Its tied with Silvally and normal Genesect in base).

I will say though. This does NOT scale to any non-legendary Pokemo. If deemed legitimate. It would be such an outlier that it makes 3-B UT fodder look legit by comparison. This would only scale to Mega Mewtwo (idk about Shadow and PMD), Shiny Genesect, and Gen 6 trio (given that Mega Mewtwo fights Zygarde).

This seems alright at first, but I would prefer more staff input of course.

Don't you think that's a bit semantic-ey. Not to mention that in the games (post gen 3, and main series), it doesn't bend.

I was asked to comment, but have a hard time following the structure of the argument. Sorry.

I mean, I read that already before I posted this. Just that the zig-zagging is negligible. Like, it's inches. Granted, it should be completely straight. I'm not denying that, but the evidence above should definitely cancel it out. It would be like saying that CtG lightning wasn't lightning speed because the bolt was a slightly different color than it should've been

It's not like that at all. I don't see any credible evidence here whatsoever.[1]

You need to have some infallible proof that it's lightspeed. Being Called a beam of light is not good at all..

You linked that twice, and I already said I read it before I posed it. And by evidence I wan't talking about it being called a beam of light.

Regardless, I just wanna make clear. No hard feelings, right?

The blast itself doesn't even look like light, I don't see how the Techno Blast is lightspeed.

Why is Porygon rated as Light Speed when it can only achieve that through travelling through the internet?

I said it's not Techno Blast, and the move is being scaled from the game information. Now I see that I didn't make that clear. It's like how we treat the move Thunder as MHS+, as the game shows that the move is clearly CtG lightning even though it's not like that in the show. That's how the rules went.

I think that Aizen seems to make sense. My apologies.

Well, that was one of the things you posted up there so I thought I might as well ask.
