Kryptonians and Chi (Lex Luthor was wrong)

OK, as you know, Lex Luthor posited that Superman was weak against chi and that as a solar being, he has no chi.

However we know this theory is wrong because we see in Supergirl vol 7 14 that Kryptonians do have qi (proper spelling of chi) and are connected to Heaven and Earth "like all things" and Super-Man Keenan Kong received his powers from inheriting Superman's qi

In addition, though he uses the Kryptonian name of Shreearr, Superman trained in using the lifeforce of the universe with Torquasm-Rao

Therefore, if Lex's idea of Superman having no ki is wrong, his whole theory is questionable at best and false at worse, and should be removed from weaknesses.

The comics there make a clear distinction between earth energy and life energy. It makes it sound like Superman is weak against pure earthly chi, whereas the life energy of the universe is part of what gives them their powers.

Superman does have chi though, the series in question even shows him having chi. The issue is that Superman's chi is blue solar chi or something, while human/Earth chi is yellow and a massive focus of yellow chi would mess with Superman.

1 That's incorrect. They state Chi is an Earth energy and the only time we see this "Blue chi" is here and they show the same thing for ghosts , who explicitly hav no chi and are holding onto Earth's chi to stay in the world

That also makes no sense as they specifically show Superman's chi is yellow and connected to the Earth, as Keenan explains. The entire thing makes no sense seeing how other comics portray Superman's relation to Chi as something that connects him. The New Super-Man comics even note how his and Kara's Chi connect to Heaven and Earth and Kara must re-establish her connection to the Earh.

The ghost aren't blue though. They're more purple-grey. Superman does have chi as Question mask shows, its just not Earth chi.

No, that's blue. And saying it's "not Earth Chi" ignores the comic repeatedly saying Chi is quote. "Planetary"

"Earth Energy"

"A planetary dynamo"

"Geomantic"

"Life energy that flows around the subtle meridians of Earth"

You could argue later comics state it's in everything, but those same comics establish Lex was wrong and Superman has chi. And earlier comics had people tapping into earth energy and it not effecting him.

No, that's blue

It's definitely not blue. Its a different color compared to Superman's internal energy

And earlier comics had people tapping into earth energy and it not effecting him.

Because Lex's plan was to use his new building as a massive focusing point for the entire planet. I get saying its been a retconed out weakness, but from what I got in story Superman has chi, but a different kind.

Has this been retconned post-Flashpoint? In that case it would not affect the post-Crisis profiles.

Well, then only the Rebirth profiles would be affected.

Yeah I'm fine with that. Although technically neither profile posses a weakness to chi or anything at the moment.
