True. And GV's Flashfield by itself isn't that strong. Joseph could definately land some hits while GV is attacking. It's just GV isn't stupid and wouldn't let that happen when he can avoid it.

Well, joseph is a master manipulator, and could indeed trick GV into attacking while he leaves another trail with his scarf that spreads hamon.

This is a really interesting match.
Gunvolt fights primarily at a range. While Joseph is more up close. He does have some ranged options such as Clacker Boomerang. GV would likely keep his distance for near the entire match. Joseph would probably find a way to close the distance, but then again there is Prevasion... This is very close and Joseph could definitely find a way to catch GV off guard, but prevasion is automatic unless Joseph figures out that water short circuits GV (which is very likely). GV does have Split Second (instantly recharges EP even through overheat) and will stay away from water. However, Joseph could very well find a way to get GV in or near water regardless. I'm not too sure who would win.
