i can try to calculate the feat for bakusaiga. yes. i think there even was already a calc for that, though i will overlook it.
the meidou feat however - i need other people to decide whether we treat it as BFR or actual erasing of existence.
i would prefer to treat it as BFR since we have only one panel indicating it could be something else, whereas every statement goes against it...
Also, while we are using values relating to things like rock and concrete, Naraku's body is much harder/stronger than those things, but do we have values for things harder than Diamond?(or even for diamond for that matter)
Or are we trying to find a low end? because honestly at this point Mountain level+ seems to be a low end
thanks to shiningforce and iwandesu from NF to giving us the values for rl japanese mountains in his blog, and lazywaka for a previous calculation, giving us the way to approach
shining force:
Average height of mountains in Japan is 1677.2 m (Credit to Iwan for providing in comments)
meaning the density for neither rock nor diamond is accurate. however i found a mineral which very closely resembles the armored shell and has a significantly higher density. Galenit
which has a density of 7200 - 7600 kg/m3 according to this table
41883881.035m3 x 7200 kg/m3 = 301563943452 which is our mass
---
finding the way of destruction i use the simple pulverization for the low end, and cellular disintegration for the high end, according to the description of the weapo
the target became "infected" with spontaneous destruction that disintegrated the main body
calc is currently under revision at NF - not applicable for now. apparently i mixed some things up as i referred to results from 2 other calcs and mistook some values
dis what happens when u try to quickly please everyone.
edit: changed the values. what is the code for striked-through text?

EDIT: Are we good on an "Atleast Mountain level" rating? With all these scans and calcs, I think it'd be silly not for them to atleast be in that range tbh
^Which is reasonable given the circumstances, but who would I ask? This thread hasn't seem to have garnered tooo much attention, less than 5 are actively participating
And honestly besides what I've provided, the only other evidence I could really provide would be a statement made about the attack which goes as follows...
"The Meidō Zangetsuha (ÕåÑÚüôµ«ïµ£êþá┤, "Dark Path of the Dawn Moon's Wave") is an immensely strong offensive technique that creates a path that sends anyone who is hit with it directly to the Netherworld itself, killing them without actually harming them."
"The technique would undergo one final Transformation to better reflect Inuyasha's ownership of it as well as Tessaiga's nature as "a sword that cuts". The gigantic sphere was replaced by a barrage of blades that ripped apart whatever they hit and sucked up the remains, making it more effective against larger and more powerful opponents. In this new form the Meidō finally started to work on Naraku, who proved to be resistant to the attack's original form. Only the Shikon Jewel itself was able to survive this technique's full power and strength."
You'll notice that while it was spherical, it was purely BFR, but when it transformed, not only did it continue to BFR, it gained actual physical capablities, as bolded in the first statement.
While I don't agree with several calcs here, I do agree that Inuyasha verse are hovering in the mountain level region. Kaze no Kizu was already taking down large hills even mid-way through the story. Endgame mountain-level is plausible. The art is horrible though for discerning things.
^ How would" Atleast City level, Likely Mountain level, possibly higher" sound?
When I very first made this thread, I figured the highest upgrade they'd get is probably island level and atleast around mountain level or around that range
EDIT:The Naraku hovering above those mountains(where he is clearly larger than those mountains) is probably the best art for upgrading tbh, but I do agree the art is abysmal
@RavenSupreme I would appreciate if you post the finished calculation as a blog post when you find the time. If a few more calc group members take a look at and accept it, you can upgrade the InuYasha characters.
Hey Raven how about Hoshiyomi? The evil ninja demon from episodes 138-140 ? I remember him having some crazy feats like firing a huge energy blast that dwarfed a forest or creating a black hole similar to Meido? Can you at lest calc the energy blast? It looks pretty damn impresive
