EOW is an entire Ocean . It took a punch that's shockwave traversed the entire planet to effectively take him out. Akainu does not have that range at all.

Akainu gets drowned.

A guy with magma that vapourises water passively with kilometers of range who moves ftl compared to a massive body of water that is mhs+ and hundreds of kilometers big is a long fight for Akainu that he'll win easily.

Forgot how fast EOW is but assuming it is at the highest value for MHS+ (2997924.9) and Akainu is at the lowest value for FTL (299792458.01) is a 99.99x speed gap so he'll attack much (basically a hundred times) faster than EOW can regenerate.
