IDK some myth stuff: Gilgamesh vs the Hero Twins

I kinda doubt Shirou will be able to negate that Low-High Regenerationn nor resisting any other haxes he may or may not have resist to.

Yeah, on second thought, the two can literally tell his weapons to not hurt them, so Gil is probably fair.

Yeah because Gilgamesh is pretty arrogant I think, but nonetheless we can restrict anything that grants higher attack potency as it is.

Well, I'll see how this goes. The Hero Twins really hate any sort of arrogance, so they aren't going to like him very much.

Also, can I just say that these two would be great servants

"An exception would be if the restricted ability/technique has a separate tier from the main one. In this case the match can be added." From Versus Thread Rules
Honestly, I prefer not to invoke that rule unless it would make a stomp.

Technically speaking the rule is still invoked though given how that is way above their payload. I not sure if Gil has ever shown to negate regen in-combat or if he has any way to put them down permanently according to their profile as they have resurrection as well.

This part anyway: "likely 6-C with Merodach."

Funnily enough, Ea should be able to negate Low-High. Considering Gil's opening move would be to spout something about worms and groveling while opening golden portals holding weapons, what would the twins responce be?

Their first response to a danmaku of blades was when they were in the House of Blades, which was (obviously) a house full of blades, was to tell the blades not to harm them.

@Apies

It is odd on how it doesn't list that part in Gilgamesh's profile though. I think it is more along the lines they can not nullify the space time dislocation part and it is mostly AP plus the regen will be canceled out by the attack.

Nop.

That said, I am not too sure their command of his weapons will be able to stop them. That aside, if swords don't work he can try magical staves.

The stopping of swords can be considered mystery. One of the things of mystery is that bigger mystery overtakes weaker mystery. Unless I am wrong, the brothers did this with normal weapons. Gilgamesh's weapons are the original epitome of every weapon, some of them supremely powerful magical weapons. We have no reason to assume Gilgamesh shoots the weapon harder because it has a better quality, yet he needed his best quality weapons to get past Berserker's God Hand. Despite how we are told God Hand doesn't care about the rank of the NP if it's merely swung around like a weapon without activating it's special ability, so something else is happening here.

That said, this is mostly conjecture and I am not putting much stock into it. Gilgamesh can get around this by using magical staves.

They were magical weapons from the realm of Xibalba that were tools of the death gods, so not sure if that necessarily holds up. I don't think we assume Gil automatically negates anything with less mystery than him anyway, especially considering how often he's died to stuff with less mystery

Which I think Gilgamesh has never shown using magical staves in-combat did he?

I think Berserker's God Hand nullified any attacks that is rank B or lower.

"Noble Phantasm God Hand: Twelve Labors

Rank: B

Type: Anti-Unit

Range: -

Maximum Targets:

A blessing of Gods, as well as a curse. It is a Noble Phantasm given to Heracles, representing immortality. This Noble Phantasm does not have an overt external manifestation such as a weapon or armour, but if you hazard to put a shape to it, the body itself can be called the Noble Phantasm. God Hand turns one's body into a tough suit of armour and nullifies all attacks Rank B or lower, regardless the attack being physical or magical. It also has the effect of automatic resurrection after death. Because the resurrection effect has 11 uses, Heracles cannot perish unless killed 12 times. In addition, due to Illya's immense magical energy, given enough time, the lives lost can also be regenerated.

Resurrection as well as attack-nullification. Besides these two effects, God Hand also possesses a third effect: rendering an attack that it has experienced before useless. Regardless how powerful is the Noble Phantasm that defeated Heracles, it would be completely nullified after he resurrects."

Then that does change things at least.

And nah, that's more talking about effects rather than physical stats. You could say each stat has a certain level of mystery based on the abilities of the servant, but that's neither here or there so it doesn't matter much and its still just conjecture.

Granted, what mood is Gilgamesh in? The more annoyed by the era the less he's willing to let his pride stove down. He's much more amiable to using his options in CCC for example.

@Sir

I think this is first key Gilgamesh meaning Fate Stay Night Gil plus I don't recall him using Ea immediately as he is still quite prideful regardless of mood.

I never said he would use Ea, he doesn't really need to. Vimana, shields, magical staves, his auto defenders from Strange Fake...

Problem is how willing he is to use his head. Gil isn't any different across depictions (except for CCC at the end of the game). The only different thing is his mood.

Considering the favorite trick of the Hero Twins is humiliating people with pride, the more Gil talks about himself the more likely they are to do something that would humiliate him like monkey transmutation

Basically, this comes down to "can he kill the two before they pull off durability negating powers"

So, it's possible, but that depends on how much Gil jobs.

Depends. Gil is arrogant, but immensely perceptive. He doesn't need to watch Sasaki fight to know he doesn't even want to get close to him, he could tell Saber was different when she came rescue Shirou in UBW and could tell she had lost her virginity with a passing glance, and that it had been with Shirou.

Which is partly why I ask about his mental state, it's the difference between prattling needlessly on or prattling but actually taking this somewhat serious.

However he is in FSN usually. Probably doesn't help that SBA dictates that they're in a modern area by default.
