I randomize the matches each round rather than use a predetermined bracket generator, mostly just so that people won't be expecting who they're fighting against next

Like, how specific is the knowledge?

Anything that's instant incapacitation, particularly broken abilities that make it extremely difficult to fight, makes them difficult to defeat. So things like Byleth's Divine Pulse, Blades' AZ attacks, Chakax's Time Manip are all part of this.
