did EP Assassin finally mention the infinite number of universes?

It's because Chronos is above the gods like the gods are above humans.

Though, what would mentioning infinite universes do to make Chronos High 2-A?

Olympian Gods and Titans = 4D

Chronos = Transcends the gods like they transcends humans. Encompasses all of space-time of the Macrocosmos (Multiverse) and transcends it all as well.
