Granblue Fantasy Discussion thread 3

We have a primal beast of absorptions now. named Amulet.
She can absorb even Astral Powers with ease. so at best 4D absorption
It also like Exodia since 4 of her limbs are sealed and only when she gets all her limbs back can she use all her powers

BUUUUT
this event happened after 000.
I'm only halfway into the story so this could spiral into another weird scaling

Good news and Bad News

Good news
Transcendence Bahamut confirmed that there are multiple Bahamuts who are like him some are weakened but they all have the potential to evolve. Lyria's Bahamut is said to be one capable of evolving far beyond the constraints of nature

Bad news
Bahamut Transcendence fate episode implies that The Crimson Horizon Invasion with The Invisible hand happened after What Makes the Sky Blue and Old Bonds

So uh. Scaling changes FRICK i hate that

We might be having a Shiva buff
He's fighting Asura's who are called otherworlders
they are capable of turning the whole sky-realm into chaos. (similar to Chaos encroachment)
furthermore Shiva will probably get feats of affecting Otherworlders and resisting them which is a great resistance feat

How is the end of roulette for you?

I just give up on The last banner and just spark lily (yes the original water lily)

Well granblue fantasy is older and has better writing so I’m not suprised. She is better lumine
It took them only like 6 years before realizing maybe Djeeta should be a character on her own rather than a generic MC counterpart giving her more character than the MC you play now.
Lumine and her Brother (depends on who you chose) has that already from the get-go (Genshin Dialogue choices basically just Lumine's thoughts lmao).

Composite Djeeta definitely better

Well GBF writting are great at best, not particullary amazing like FGO, Honkai, and Arknights for example
What Make the Sky Blue Saga is the only amazing part of GBF, rest is average to "okay, thats great"
Heck, i remember that main event with all of the Eternals (with Mugen) was so hyped and turned out the story was dogs**t

What do you think, Jedi?

Still, GBF writting is way more enjoyable despite the flaws it have, and it's above Genshin in terms of writting of course

Another thing is that they nailed the "hated" chars like Belial way much better than Genshin did with Scaramouche
Scaramouche only aspect he has is the typical "pretty boy" that attracted the simping flood and his gameplay being fun, outside of that? Trash character personality, bad villain, shitty redemption, and so on

Granblue Fantasy arent that good in the beginning. The story only get good when they enter the Akasha arc. From that point on the writing was really fantasy masterpiece.
Although I cant say for Genshin because I dont play it at all.
That said, Lumine isnt the only off-brand Djeeta.

Those you mentioned are basically on the same level of storytelling as Granblue as it currently is.
  • What makes the Sky Blue saga is amazing, yeah but the newer event had a better set up, and Visual arts
  • Home Sweet Moon delivered what Eternal events failed to do.
  • The last Anniv story about Zooey and Cosmos opened up some past without being related to Primarchs and things.
  • Fox story concluded after Ninetails was killed but they managed to introduce a new villain that is not forced and yet has a fresh story that improved the dynamics of the Ninetails Fox Clans without having to downgrade Societe and Yuel's character progression (unlike what they do with MC like most of the time).
  • Main Story right now since the Carnival chapter had been a rollercoaster and interesting since they basically succeeded in telling The Story while it was being manipulated by the Otherworld and even induces such immersion that the manipulated story looks like what is normal until the manipulation became too extreme and the story delved deep enough that it all fits together as a big puzzle and explained more about how the cosmology works in Sky-realm and what is Evolution truly is in Sky-realm.
  • The recent one is Prayers which expanded more on the 4 Disciples, especially Shiva and now FLB shiva is released it lines up just in time for their character progression
  • The other recent Theatre Troupe event although wacky really showed how human Primarch can be when they try to become mortals and how they inhibit the same psychological mistakes and issues human experiences when introduced to an unknown environment. Personally, it sent a wonderful message.
  • Yuisis Story also concluded with her gaining both Ambition/Passion and Chivalry.
  • Arthur story is also picking up finally showing their main Villain Merlin
  • True Dragon story also concluded with Deidre where they finally explained the true natures of Dragons and with it finishing they continued it with Old Bonds which are the six Primordials Dragons that make up the World as it is and how they hinted more about their world and the Otherworld and the boundaries
  • Even their Collaboration stories have improved especially the final fantasy IX collab that they managed to make some sort of an unofficial sequel that happened outside Final fantasy
  • And lastly, they no longer hesitate to dive deep into some horrific stories with Marionette Stars where the character is a literal psycho who fed his victims with her husband's remains
they tried some wacky events like that weird dream about normal school life without magic and such. but TBH the storywriting got way better since Home Sweet Moon that some side story that is more about Slice of life has more life and has an interesting story.

if you think Granblue story is average then you clearly haven't seen their newer events.
tbh I'm kinda getting bored of tragic stories since i used to drown myself in them
Arknights, Girls Frontline, and so on.
Arknight is Loyal to its theme as dystopia and post-apocalyptic (very similar with GFL but i can see why lmao). Granblue works differently. they are flexible with what they can write due to the weird multiverse they just introduced
Also, I still hate Belial i can't believe he still exist in Granblue Versus and i wish i don't see him again. i hate him because he is repulsive but he's also ******* good at what he is doing.

Genshin is still on its fresh start. their world-building hasn't even solidified yet especially with what is the END-GOAL since we already knew she already met the other twin. my only gripe with Genshin is that I cannot go to the next dialogue while they are still talking or performing a motion. I seriously hate that and it waste my time

What they’re missing is a skip dialogue option

Niiiiice, guess i need to catch all of those that you listed there, ever since the failed Eternals Event i stopped caring (yeah, immature if you ask me lel) so i'm living under the rock
What even interested me is the collab story, if what you said is true then i'm so terrified on the collab story with Love Live, One Piece, and Freaking Detective Conan lel

if you think Granblue story is average then you clearly haven't seen their newer events.
What living under the rock has to do to a mfs lel
If only i'm not giving up on the atrocity of Eternals Event then i'm so up to date to what's going on right now
tbh I'm kinda getting bored of tragic stories since i used to drown myself in them
Arknights, Girls Frontline, and so on.
Arknight is Loyal to its theme as dystopia and post-apocalyptic (very similar with GFL but i can see why lmao).
Same here, except it's with FGO and Honkai, then again i'm flexible so i tried the others gacha games that touched those tropes like Arknights (and it's worked, and i'm happy with it)
Speaking of Arknights, would you want to bring this series to vsbw? @Jamesthetaker wanted to do so but right now is prioritizing Kamen Rider and Azure Lane, your help for him will be appreicated
Also, I still hate Belial i can't believe he still exist in Granblue Versus and i wish i don't see him again. i hate him because he is repulsive but he's also ******* good at what he is doing.
See? Now this is what i called "nailed it"
Scaramouche failed to do so and only saved by "bishonen and normie" which doesn't his other trash aspects, wherehas Belial successed on what he was suppossed to do and still being liked and hated in good way
Virgin Scarar***rdedouche vs Chad s*x offender Belial

I'm not going to call it "fresh start" and rather call it "rough start", only Sumeru that has done it well yet it still not enough, outside of that? BAD

Exactly. Granblue as well didn't really become average until 3 years after its release lol. Almost all gacha games suffer from this

Love Live, One Piece, and Freaking Detective Conan lel
Skip LoveLive if you're really not into idols. It is a pretty niche genre.
Detective Conan is pretty ok for me and they tried to incorporate. Per episode plotlines of each detective conan episodes ever so i didn't really saw much of it.

FFIX is good

One Piece is great specially that duel with zoro. It becomes wacky and flashy due to other pirate crew being really wacky by default like brook ussop franky which i liked. The main villain is pretty average to generic tho.

I'd say dont read event by chronological release. Follow it by series/Arc. Like since you stopped eternal event. Do spaghetti syndrome then home sweet moon.

The ninetails storyline is pretty average but their latest addition with the new villain somehow made it much more fresh and new so you can probably read that solo

Marionette stars is probably gonna be the new society except it goes dark just like arcarums.

I really want to help bring Arknights here. But their feats are scattered all around. Skadi. Frostnova. Etc have the notable ones.
My time is also piss poor since i've been playing terraria and gotten through some personal problems irl.
So I've been casual with this wiki for weeks now. And it might go worse if i continue college. But if you have match ups for those series i like i'd definitely give some input since it is easier than CRT (no 🧢)
