This is true
Against the Supernova he actually used several of his devil fruit abilities, that's what I mean by more effort, he actually used his various abilities instead of just sword clashing with Rayleigh.
Did Kizaru use anything more than a sword against Rayleigh? No.
Rayleigh being that guy that is a swordsman
So not only did Kizaru limit himself by only using a sword, he limited himself even further by engaging Rayleigh in Rayleigh's preferred combat style and even then Rayleigh was only able to stall him and would have clearly lost eventually due to his stamina.
This isn't downplay, it's just the truth.

Kizaru is always casual, we've never seen him actually try, it's literally part of his character to be laid back and casual.
It does matter, he didn't use anything more than a sword against Rayleigh, that alone proves he was holding back.
Keep saying downplay without proving it, idc.

Oden just seems to have better performances in regards to his combat feats by some distance.
