Golden Sun Discussion Thread

1. He stated earlier in the chat that he oftentimes doesn't have a device that can easily add pictures. 2. We've yet to make a page for Jenna, though, every cast member should be able to use Meteor, so I don't know why anyone needs to even scale from Jenna. 3. I'll probably get to that. 4. Every character probably has over a hundred spells. To add every spell to the page would take an insanely long amount of time, and it would just be more necessary to link to another list of spells. Similar to the Dovahkin's page, he doesn't have a full list of spells, it just links it to an Elder Scrolls Wiki list of spells.
 
The thing about the adepts is that they can't only use what's respective to their elements, through Djinn, they can use much, much more. Since I'm fully on making these pages look great, I guess whenever I have time, I'll just add every attack they can use in categories.
 
Well, obviously you don't have to add every single spell to their profiles; just select a decent size list of ones they can use. Preferably list stronger attacks over weaker versions and add some variety; while mostly pick attacks, do add a few healing or support spells just for balance. Just don't link the page to other wikias or plagiarize anything is all we're really asking.

I know other profiles have similar problems regarding a link to a big list of weapons and/or spells, but it is ill advised and staff members have been over exhausted trying to fix various pages with those problems.

Edit: Oh that video about Iris transforming into a star makes more sense now; still doesn't scale to anyone other than her though.
 
Something caught my eye in the first Golden Sun game. They explained that sometimes Psynergy acts instinctively to the users when they're in danger, and this is shown when a blue barrier appears around the adepts to protect them.

Also, Psynergy can be defined as what type of energy? While checking the wiki, it explains it as psychic, physical, mental, spiritual, and magical energy bunched into one. Psy Drain seems much more useful, now.

Edit: Oh, and elemental, how could I forget?
 
The classes? Acrobat, Necromage, and Beast Lord? They apply to the whole cast of Lost Age, which includes those of Golden Sun 1. I also added a picture of Dark Dawn Isaac.
 
Iris has been disagreed on being star level by a few people from this thread btw. Even if you and Dragon think she is, Iris having a page should just be held off. You may not be planning on so for right now, but I'm just saying this because it seems Iris is listed under "others" which means one of guys was going to make a page sooner or later.
 
@Hadou, for future reference, preferably don't quadruple post as that's generally considered spam. If your post is the most recent one, then simply edit that post to add more details.

And yeah, Iris being Star level seems to be leading to controversy even if she has some star/sun related information, but she would still be at least Planet level scaling from the complete Golden Sun.
 
I was saying Iris was Star level because she can literally transform into the Sun. Like that one SCP who is the Sun, their justification for being 4-C is "is the Sun". But her attack she uses isn't Star level, that's why it wouldn't scale to the Adepts.
 
You've been saying that with different reasoning the entire time though. First you said Iris had created the star and then you are saying Iris became the star. There's yet to be any real solid proof of any of these claims besides observations with several flaws behind them. Being a living sun for a 4-C rating still makes sense as characters like Screaming Sun from Rick and Morty also have that justification along with Omnitraxus Prime from SVtFOE who is a living universe. Your justification would be right if you actually had something to support this. Also, Glassman has said you brought up Iris being the creator of the universe, but we never saw any proof of this. If you care to have some thoroughly explained reasoning outside of just stating something and linking the same situation, then it might help Star level Iris's case.

Edit: I'm studying Ivan's attacks so I can get the moves of him and Sheba.

I thought it was only confirmed that Isaac was enhanced by the Golden Sun, so only he and Piers should have Longevity; Piers has it due to being a Lemurian though.
 
Actually, it was directly confirmed that the Golden Sun event affect Garet, Isaac, Kraden, and Alex. Though, considering the other Adepts were there, I don't see why it wouldn't have affected them. Would you like me to put "likely Longevity"?
 
Alright, was mostly referring to the Alex vs The Wise One scene. Alex believed to have had the complete Golden Sun, until the Wise One mentioned that the Mars Lighthouse beacon rests within Isaac. But I suppose likely Longevity can be added; I apologise for removing them from Sheba, Mia, and Ivan's profiles; but Felix, Garet, Tyrell, and Matthew also don't currently have it listed on their profiles.

Alex wasn't created yet, but I already uploaded his images. But yes, he definitely had longevity to an even greater extent than Isaac.
 
It's fine. Though, in Dark Dawn, it's stated that Isaac, Garet, and Kraden barely age, and I'm sure you already have enough proof of Alex's confirmed Longevity. I'll re-add the Longevities after I finish Jenna's page.

Oh, and the cast of Dark Dawn doesn't get Longevity. They didn't go through the Golden Sun event. The newer characters really got nerfed. I've been playing through the first Golden Sun to see what quotes I could find on how powerful certain characters, events, and what all Psynergy, itself, consists of, and I've got some interesting screenshots. On another note, Kraden refers to the ocean as "endless water that goes to the end of the world". It makes me wonder, Gaia Falls never stops dropping water off of the end of the world. How much water does Weyard have, and where does it go? Where does it come from?

Edit: If all matter is composed of Psynergy, would we give Matter Manipulation to more potent users, like Alex and the Wise One, and possibly Isaac?
 
Most likely; also, The Golden Sun did say it would grant the user the ability to manipulate all elements of the world. Which would be further justification for At least Planet level once that gets a profile. It have similar format of the Triforce profile.
 
There's a big part of me just wanting someone like Kraden to say something like "even time and space and ideas are made from Psynergy", so that Alex can have "likely Space-Time Manipulation and Conceptual Manipulation".
 
The chance of that happening is close to the chance that we have on getting a 4th Golden sun game.
 
Guys, I had an epiphany. Uhm, the more you use summons, the more your resistance and attack for that respective element goes up. So, should we add resistances?
 
Yeah, resistance to various elemental attacks seems good. I could also get started on creating Alex's profile, since I already uploaded his images.

So we're making a separate one for the Fusion Dragon? I was going to suggest that we have them as transformations for Saturos and Menardi's pages with a key. I'm okay with this, though. We should also make a Doom Dragon page.
 
Fusion dragon should have a separate profile.

The same way other fusions are separated from their components.
 
Yeah, I thought about Gogeta and Vegito a moment ago. I'll see if I can do more work onto the new profiles. As well as adding the elemental resistance to old profiles.


Edit: I see Water and Ice attacks are listed as a weakness of Saturos and Menardi. I don't believe they actually have a weakness to these attacks. They actually have a resistance to them, in-game, it's just far lower than their other resistances, so Mercury attacks are far more effective.
 
Yeah, Fusion Dragon was given a separate profile; and actually, the Chrono Trigger cast have taking bonus damage from their opposite elements listed as a weakness, so I don't see a problem about Saturos, Menardi, and Fusion Dragon having it. There was even some canon info in The Lost Ages where Karst and Agatio mentioned that being the only reason Isaac one is because they had a Mars Adept taking the hits and a Mercury adept doing the attacks from the back row. That was also the reason they plotted a trap to have Mia and Garet separated to they only had to fight Isaac and Ivan. I can agree that there's no need for the protagonists to have weaknesses to their opposite elements since they can develop resistance to those elements through training.
 
Yeah, I suppose that seems reasonable. Doom Dragon wouldn't have any weaknesses, would they? I read from another user that they said Doom Dragon was Planet level, it was in a profile creation thread, but it didn't seem like they had any basis for that information.


Edit: Saturos, Menardi, and Fusion Dragon have a Luck of 40, meaning they are immune to status affects. I'll go ahead and add that to their pages, along with their resistances to fire and magma.


Edit 2: Speaking of Luck, it is indeed a possibility to make the party's Luck at 40. So, the cast should have the resistances and immunities that I added to Saturos's page, as well. I'll be making more revisions. ;-||
