Gengar found some joy in pranking the monsters in The Ruins, when it came across another apparaition laying in the grass it was excited, another spirit down here? Maybe they could join together and create epic hijinks.

Naptablook listened to the ghost's proposition and thought of his friends, and what they would think of him if he helped this despicable thing torture them for entertainment . . . he could not bring himself to be assertive, but tried nonetheless.

"You better stop that . . . it's not nice."

Rather disappointed in their choice, the Gengar hit them with a Shadow Punch and stood in a battle stance, refusing to back down.

Gengar

First Napstablook cries.

Then Napstablook tries talking Gengar down for a little bit.

Then, after failing, Napstablook gives up on living and cries hysterically, wallowing in self pity for how pathetic he is.

The sheer amount of Acid Rain that results from this makes Gengar leave. A couple potential pranks with a ghost-buddy aren't worth this anyways.

Still, even though Gengar leaves the room, he does so to go back to pranking the other monsters while Napstablook lies on the ground incapacitated by it's own self-pity.

The real question is, after all that, who won?
