Anyways:


Abilities: Gengar has a much wider variety. Both have Levitate, but Gengar also has Cursed Body and Shadow Tag, which is super useful.

Base Stats: Gengar's is 5 points higher, so I guess it's another point for Gengar...

Moveset: Gengar still wins this one. Gengar has acces to sleep manip and poison manip, and he generally has more hax. Yes, Mismagius has Hypnosis too, but that's an event move, so that doesn't count.


Overall I see Gengar having a very slight edge over Misdreavus due to the above reasons
