I checked the page for Saber and Assasin and while I know that Saber is city level in durability, I thought trading blows was an AP feat, shouldn't Assasin be 7A for trading blows with UBW Saber?

Are you talking about Kojirou Sasaki, or the Hassan?

If you mean Kojirou, I believe it would be because Saber was still injured from Lancer's Gae Bolg when she fought him, so she was heavily handicapped.

Also, our ratings for fate servants come more from their listed parameters than from feats of trading blows. I believe that on one of the Fate pages there is a chart explaining what value each parameter is, with Saber's A++ Excalibur being Small Island/Large Mountain Level and all the other values being worked out from there. Kojirou has C ranked strength, which was determiend to be Town Level on the chart.

Okay, first off I don't remember Saber being hurt by Gae Bolg, IIRC she was injured by it in Fate Zero and her left thumb was messed up, but in UBW Gae Bolg hit her in the shoulder, Lancer mentioned how she "dodged my undodgeable attack" and it got healed by Avalon. I don't remember if they fought again before that but I'm certain she wasn't affected by Gae Bolg when she fought Assasin.

That's....Honestly weird, I thought we went by feats over statements.

To clarify about the "dodged his undodgeable attack", the Gae Bolg is cursed so that when activated, it will always piece the target's heart by way of causality reversal. Saber had good instincts telling her the precise way to dodge to survive (which on its own would not have been enough), and more importantly a good luck stat (which can warp causality to prevent instant death abilities like the Gae Bolg) so rather than it hitting her heart, she "dodged" it and it only hit her shoulder.

Gae Bolg's is also cursed, and the injuries it leaves do not heal. Avalon - being the magical fairy construct it is - was able to still heal Saber, but it was really, really, slowed. Normally Avalon can regenerate a destroyed heart in seconds as it did with Kiritsugu in F/Z, but due to the curse the Regenerationn of her shoulder was taking only slightly faster than it would take for a human to normally heal a stab through the shoulder.

Finally, the shoulder has a bunch of inmportant tendons and things connecting to the arm, so even if it wasn't a lethal attack, the injury to her shoulder was still reducing her ability to use that arm, and thus her overall skill and strength. Plus when she fought Kojirou at first, she was still under Shirou's contract (rather than Rin's contract which gives the UBW ratings), so her ability was greatly reduced due to his terrible magic circuits and botched summoning.

I know about the curse.

Thing is, wouldn't it be a good idea to mention this to the audience to increase the tension of the fight knowing she's handicapped? But you make sense.

Also yeah, his 7C rating is consistent, considering he traded blows with 7C archer.

So should this thread be closed, or is there something left to do here?
