Because fiction does not follow real-world laws fully. It just happens that most writers tend to forget that lava is a non-factor to most animanga MC's.

It'd be best for you to ignore lava-related feats if there are better ones.

Lava can't ignore durability. Put a bar of iron into a fire and it won't melt.

Lava is quite a bit hotter than fire but it's only molten rock that emits heat. Heat is energy.

Now, lava can reach temperatures hotter than the surface of the Sun. According to this anyone City level and higher should be able to Skinny dip into it with no problem as the lava doesn't have enough to overcome their binding energy or rather, durability.
