I'd say it's more like a Z or GT design tbh. The SS4 is so different from other Super Saiyan forms because it's a combination between the Super Saiyan and a previous form: the Oozaru.

This design looks like a Final Form Frieza with some pieces of armor from his First Form, and that makes it a bit reminiscent of the Z era in a nostalgic way, at least for me.

You think it looks like a DB AF design? This truly looks like AF:

For me at least, Maeda was just wonderful and I really love Shintani (kinda has a modern Maeda vibe to it and I hope they use it more often), probably my two favorites. 90's Yamamuro is probably my third favorite tied with Nakatsuru.

2000's Yamamuro and onwards just isn't it for me anymore, at least for Dragon Ball. Did he make the art for ToP? Cause if so, then that's the closest to success I have for him since I actually liked the visuals for ToP for the most part.
