Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

How strange that, when consistently written into the dialogue of characters like the God of Destruction, the Lords of Lords, and the Angels, the word "universe" refers to the entirety of the cosmic model,—the Living World, the Other World, and the Realm of the Kai,—but when written into the dialogues of mortal characters, all of a sudden, the meaning of the word that has been associated time and time again with the entirety of the cosmos suddenly refers to only the Living World.

How you think you look right now:

To be fair, oftentimes they explicitly mean the Macrocosm. Elder Kai says “I too will be eradicated in the clash,” during BoG, and as the WotK exists on the literal edge of creation, he means the Macrocosm. And then Angels (Whis), and Hakaishin (Beerus) at that time literally just repeat what he’s saying to back him up. Also, the shockwaves clearly span all of the Macrocosm, which is what they’re talking about, so it’s pretty self evident. Grand Kai says “Universe,” (in Z Anime), and then he literally manifests the map.

The only time I can think of where saying “Universe” didn’t explicitly mean the whole Macrocosm in context when uttered by a God is like, probably Zamasu? And that’s because his plan intended to span the Multiverse/Timeline. Also, maybe if you squint really hard, Whis talking about how the Universes parallel each other with his 12 Universe Simplified Model, but I don’t think anyone would agree to that.

Whereas in the examples given, like by the Heeters, they’re not so clear cut. I don’t disagree, mind you, that it’s strange to create a distinction like this quite suddenly for the sake of a thread, but I do think it’s worth pointing out in almost every time the word Universe was used by a God, there was context to back up what they were referring to.

They only wished for youth, not for their ages to be reversed. Their bodies were reverted to those of infants, but their mental faculties remained unchanged.

I mean they kinda did, didn't they? You can see kid Mai is far more immature than she would be had she been an adult. I think she knows she's an adult, but her brain won't stop her from thinking like a kid.

Null = I have an idea

Crt= all Universes share the same space-time, therefore 3-A

🤣🤣
Nah let's make it share the same space then make each Universe Galaxy size and then we get one step closer to making this a reality

This is quite accurate

Oh hey a db wanker 😒

  1. SSG Goku's feat is not universal. First of all, the universe busting statements are clearly hyperbole and only referring to the endangering of life forms in the galaxy. The universe busting also never happened so it can't be used. Second, they call the universe as a universe however it is much smaller than a normal universe and is shown to only house 1 galaxy consistently. Shaking a galaxy therefore is only solar system level.
  2. Goku never absorbed SSG into his base form, it was retconned in later in super and there's no way cabba is SSG level
This seems familar🤔

Petition for Qualtive Superiority and 1-A meta. Essentially, first of all, we have the subspace. The subspace in DB is a space that exists between dimensions and contains the ROSAT and Sugargoku Space. This is the same subspace that Goku and other DB characters use through is the same one that is through IE. Anyway, this same subspace transcends time. Since this has no concept of time itself, yet still somehow transcends time, this should therefore not be 0D, and instead 1-A.

Also, for QS, Goku can use IS aka the subspace in the crack of time. Which I don't need to get into, as it's evident that these crystals are essentially the realm where all DB timelines are compromised of. And since Goku can use this subspace in this realm, this entails that the subspace isn't limited to a single timeline. This means that the subspace engulfs the crack of time. Since DB timelines on this wiki are 5D IIRC, this means that the subspace is at least 6D even if we ignore 1-A. For more evidence, the said subspace is infinite in size. So it should be another spatial axis.

And DBS is canon to Xenoverse, as this person explained.
DBS is canon to XV, but not the other way around.

How can it transcend the concept of time if it's in the hypertimeline?

One problem with that profile, don’t we see Goku crushing a huge boulder and one punching a giant bear?

I love this profile so much

If I can get this accepted, I could get Mecha Frieza buffed to >1.20967339 Foe.
Or, possibly, >6.04836695 Foe if I can figure out how to argue that, narratively, the anime-only Supernova being ten-times stronger than the Death Ball according to the Dragon Book Z should be enough to prove that Mecha Frieza was ten-times stronger across both medias.

Welp guys it's time to make the donuts

Gosh, the guidebooks are useless!
The Dragon Books assert that King Piccolo acquired "power incomparable to before", but that literally means nothing!
Goku acquired "unprecedented power" after drinking the Ultra Divine Water, but, again, worthless! Unless that can be used to argue that the boost was greater than that of Great Ape.
I also have a free Moon calc that is waiting to be evaluated if it helps
