Don't forget Tenjian for a battle of "That's not even close to how Ice works"

So what are the connections between Terumi and that Golden Lantern looking dude?

I ask, because recently, even though I want Lucemon vs Jedah, I actually feel like Lucemon vs Terumi is EXTREMELY thematic. Even moreso than Jedah.
IIRC
  • They're both empowered by fear
  • They both betrayed a heroic team and formed their own more villainous team
It's not a lot but they're oddly specific connections.

Hm, well here are connections between Lucemon and Terumi.
  • Both empowered by negative emotions (Hatred and Fear for Terumi and Malice and Pride for Lucemon) and both cannot truly die as long as those emotions exist in the world.
  • They both betrayed their own heroic groups and are now apart of another villainous faction. (For Lucemon, he betrayed Yggdrasil and the Angel Digimon and led a rebellion to overthrow Yggdrasil. This resulted and he and many other Angel Digimon to be defeated and sealed within the Dark Area, aka Digi-Hell. He is also apart of the Seven Great Demon Lords)
  • Both have extreme God complexes and see other beings as below them.
  • Both are Gods (Lucemon in his Satan Mode is officially classified as a Demon God)
  • Both are known to manipulate others to complete their goals.
  • They are both among the most powerful beings in their respective franchises.
  • Both have signature abilities that focus around erasing their foes from existence. (Time Killer for Terumi and Dead or Alive for Lucemon)
  • Both have a humanoid form and a more monstrous Godly form (Susanoo and Satan Mode) and when in these forms, all each other desires is destruction.
I might have missed some stuff as I am not as familiar with Terumi/Susanoo as I am with Lucemon.

Wow don’t know Jack about Lucemon but sound far better than the other match

Akainu is her best MU, though you could put Doffy up there as well. It's a belief in absolute justice and holding the highest military title in their respective tyrannical governments that are run by a corrupt and greedy ruling class (The Empire nobles and the Tenryuubito), as well as having gained their respective elemental powers via eating/drinking an outside source that poses a heavy drawback (The loss of swimming and insanity respectively), who are responsible for killing the loved ones of the main protagonist and are part of a group of Admirals/Generals with elemental powers (Akainu is teamed up with Aokiji and Kuzan who use ice and light and Esdeath is teamed up with Budo and Liver who use lightning and water). They're also both willing to kill their soldiers for insubordination and kill thousands of innocent people to be thorough, though in Esdeath's case, she still manages to have genuine connections to her subordinates while Akainu is entirely feared. It's a good Match.

Esdeath doesn't care about that her shit is "might makes right **** the weak " where Akainu is that whole victory at any cost
Budo/Liver feels eh given The latter followed and worked under her while Akainu worked besides his fellow Admirals
last part isn't unique given theres tons of leaders willing to do that in fiction
its fine but ain't great

What are the connections? You caught my interest
-both wanna conquer their respective worlds

-are the iconic big bads of the series, whom didnt debut as actual characters till the 2nd game

-they want souls to consume them and griw more powerful

-both of them wear helmets which only till later on you could have them off to show whats underneath

-they both use giant weapons that are iconic and was used by others before (in soul calibur other characters got a hold of the sword before or after, in mkx on a stage you could use shao kahn hammer as interactive from environment)

-nightmare and shao kahn in their latest games have opposing armor in colors, nightmare has blue and silver themes, kahn has red and gold themes

-both of them have one of their arms as non human in nature, nightmare is pretty much evident, kahn in mk11 has one of his almost reptilian like scale from what we see
