So I was inspired to make this thread by a series of videos made by GameXplain called Cool Bits. It's about small little details in video games that don't really add anything to the game itself, but is a nice detail or easter egg nonetheless.
To give an example, a little thing I've always found cool was how during the final boss fight in Majoras Mask, Majoras Incarnation will occasionally sing the first few notes of the final dungeon theme from the original Legend of Zelda.
So what kind of easter eggs have you guys come across that you found cool? Doesn't have to be from games, it can books or movies or whatever else.
