Here's an indepth guide to the chronology of Naruto canon I made a long time ago. It's pretty long so I won't copy it here.
Shonen Jump podcast #138 interview with Masashi Kishimoto confirmed that the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga is a canon continuation. With Masashi Kishimoto as the creator & editor, Ukyou Kodachi as the writer, and Mikio Ikemoto as the mangaka (artist) of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga [1] .
The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime was stated to be an adaptation of the manga in Chapter 8. The anime is being writte & supervised by Ukyou Kodachi who is co-writing the manga with Masashi Kishimoto. Ukyou Kodachi said that the anime "has been written with Kishimoto-san meticulously (truly meticulously) checking over it". Plus the manga has referenced anime-original arcs and events.
The novels are stated to be a gaiden/side-story at the end of chapter 700. Shueisha lists the novels on their official timeline of Naruto. "I've said this before, but they're all officially canon. Kishimoto, Shounen Jump, Shueisha, Studio Pierrot all accept them as canon (there's even a timeline on the Shueisha site to tie in the manga/novel storylines), but whether the fans do the same isn't something I'm gonna meddle with."
Hope this helped. I'd recommend reading the guide I linked to also.
